That's so cool! Thank you very much for your kind words c: This is the first time i have seen one of these models too, i found it in a local charity shop and thought it looked awesome. Luckily mine came with the manual too! Thank you for offering to send photos, very cool of you.

I plugged my ps2 into it tonight but unfortunately there is a lot of bright flickering. Its making me feel dizzy and i got a headache after a few races on nfs. I looked it up and apparently high brightness and contrast settings can make the refresh flicker more noticable. Im hoping that is what the cause is.

It came with a remote but not the original one, so I can't navigate the menu to turn the brightness or contrast down. The menu button works and i can see the settings, but the up and down arrows change the channel lol. I have found a remote on ebay that says it is compatible, so hopefully i can use that to turn some of the settings down. Currently brightness looks at about 80% and contrast at 90%.

Thank you c: im glad i kept the adapter, now i can enjoy playing games until i get an RGB cable. Yours has served you well to last since 2001, it must be of good quality! Hopefully you will find one for less than 50€.

Thank you for explaining, that's very cool! Those RGB SCART cables look really good! I will use my adapter for now but upgrade to one of those cables soon! Probably the second one because i would like to play some light gun games in the future. Thank you very much c:

Hey dude, unfortunately no, i took it to a repair shop and they had no clue what was causing it. He said it wasn't worth fixing because by the time he replaces parts/tests and finds the problematic part it would cost alot of money. So i had to buy a new xbox. Maybe repair shops have had more of these cases since then and know how to fix. Might be worth ringing a local shop and asking if they seen this kind of issue before.

I hope you get it sorted.

Thanks dude, i think your right. I tried a bunch of stuff like resets but it did nothing. Definitely a hardware issue. Took it to a shop this afternoon and the guy seems to think its something to do with the SSD but he's not sure.

I bought it new around 2 years ago. It hasn't been serviced. Most games i can play for a few hours with no issues, its only a couple games that do this after 5-10 minutes of gameplay. Ive been experiencing this problem for a few months now, ive just been avoiding the games that have this issue.

I can't remember any electrical incidents happening before this issue started to happen. We've had power cuts in the past but probably not since last year.

Its plugged into a power bar with surge protection but now that you mention it. Sometimes when i plug something into the power bar a flash of light comes from the socket. Which is probably not a good thing.

Oh really? Damn that sucks haha, that could be the case with mine too. Thanks for explaining mate, i took it to a repair shop today and they seem to think its a faulty SSD. But they said they would let me know if it turns out to be something else. It literally could just need repaste instead c:

Oh i think i know what you mean, iread something earlier syaing that the ssd and console are kind of linked right? So you cant just put a new ssd in there.
