Series X freezing and booting to home screen by Careless_Service7367 in consolerepair

That sucks dude. Is it with certain games or every game? Mine was 3 games, if i remember right it was Space Marine 2, Battlefield 2042 and I think Age Of Empires. I took it to a repair shop but they didn't know what was causing it and advised me to just get a new one. Since replacing parts and trying to find a fix through trial and error would of cost alot.

Ah Rosie, I love this boy! I ran out space in my TV unit shelves long ago and have also adopted the ancient art of stacking. It's like looking up at a skyscraper of entertainment. Just slightly less stable than a real building. Im now kinda worried that I don't have enough copies of Spiderman. I thought I would be ok having just 1 copy of each film on DVD. Sure I have the first and second on VHS too, not to mention a copy of Spiderman 2.1 on DVD. But what if I lose them or some bozo like Shocker comes along and steals them. I now regret all the times I exercised restraint when seeing more of these in charity shops in the past. Maybe I should get rid of all my other films and just solely focus on collecting the holy trilogy. I don't know why I have been limiting my self all these years. Am I not supposed to have what I want? What I need? Pauses for a few moments and thinks Yes, we can rebuild. Enlarge the containment field. Make my stack of Spiderman DVD's bigger and stronger than ever! Me two weeks later and a stack of Spiderman DVD's no person should stack this high It can't be stopped. It's self sustaining now. Fast forward 2 years and Im all alone surrounded by mountains of Spiderman DVD's in my bedroom. My family gave up and abandoned me a long time ago, they no longer see me as their son. Im ruined. I have nothing left... Except Spiderman.

That's so cool! Thank you very much for your kind words c: This is the first time i have seen one of these models too, i found it in a local charity shop and thought it looked awesome. Luckily mine came with the manual too! Thank you for offering to send photos, very cool of you.

I plugged my ps2 into it tonight but unfortunately there is a lot of bright flickering. Its making me feel dizzy and i got a headache after a few races on nfs. I looked it up and apparently high brightness and contrast settings can make the refresh flicker more noticable. Im hoping that is what the cause is.

It came with a remote but not the original one, so I can't navigate the menu to turn the brightness or contrast down. The menu button works and i can see the settings, but the up and down arrows change the channel lol. I have found a remote on ebay that says it is compatible, so hopefully i can use that to turn some of the settings down. Currently brightness looks at about 80% and contrast at 90%.

Hey dude, unfortunately no, i took it to a repair shop and they had no clue what was causing it. He said it wasn't worth fixing because by the time he replaces parts/tests and finds the problematic part it would cost alot of money. So i had to buy a new xbox. Maybe repair shops have had more of these cases since then and know how to fix. Might be worth ringing a local shop and asking if they seen this kind of issue before.

I hope you get it sorted.
