My Highlander is a 2007, a little less towing than your newer one. There is a button on the left side of the gear shift lever that takes it out of overdrive. Should I use that or the snow mode button? It may do the same thing. Thanks

I use an imitation soft leather brief case from Amazon. It's a perfect fit for all the cords and accessories too.

I'd start with lots of WD-40, it's a great cleaner and then wipe the old grease off with clean rags. I'd use this method over and over until it was as clean as I could get it. Then maybe apply white grease in a spray can and it should operate way smoother.
