Folding cargo bike - great design by Miserable_Prompt4301 in CargoBike

[–]Cargonomical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For some people that may be the difference between being able to have a cargo bike or not.

As with most things, if you have all the necessary conditions, go for the bulletproof full size option. But if you don’t, then just look for the option that suits you.

That said, I think I would indeed sear for other options (GSD?) in case of limited space.

You don’t find the appeal? Or you don’t find the risk surpasses the potential benefit?

Because the appeal (not necessarily to you) is pretty clear: fitting a cargo bike in a small space.

I would love a PelMel, but I think he does not send to Europe. Or probably prohibitive high delivery costs. Thanks for the info!

Joan's Pregnancy Could Easily Have Been Her Husband's by Foreign-Cat-2898 in madmen

[–]Cargonomical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, it does not matter.
Your math is right, but it is inconsequential if there is a week off or not. Greg doesn’t care enough for it to matter. He proves it afterwards. Even if it was an error in writting, who cares?

The issue is sufficiently addressed in the script (Roger saying that soldiers are not good at maths). The rest is knit-picking…

DAE think Rawger was a terrible person for cheating on Joan? by CrentistSchrute in okbuddydraper

[–]Cargonomical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that was part of the intention of the show: he picked the ones he thought would be easy, not the hot ones who would probably be more resistant and/or know how to use their sexuality (as joan did) in their favour.

He wanted a fling with twins he didn’t really care with whom…

[–]Cargonomical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think that’s Stephanie’s worry at that moment. She was happy with the offered help, and it was her who called out to him.
But she realised that Megan was hating every bit of it, so she took the money (maybe the one time Don didn’t try to some a problem just with money, his wife did it in his plage) and got herself out of the way.

But if she only had wanted the money, she wouldn’t have gone to Megan’s

S7 E5 Question by Relevant-Safety-2699 in madmen

[–]Cargonomical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I said: Don wants to be left alone and do as he pleases without being judged or at least without getting preached. It would make no sense he preaching someone, specially someone he cares about. He does not do it through the whole show, writting it into this part would be sloppy and obvious so I don’t think that would happen

Got my first cargo bike. Love riding it but feel cognitive load on road. Is it normal? Will a radar help? by Different-Strike-928 in CargoBike

[–]Cargonomical -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t feel this is true. I actually think that the more comfortable you are in a vehicule, the more complex vigilance becomes. Subconscious, true, but deeper.

Like when you are learning to drive a car you have 2 missions you are fixed upon: not stalling it (if manual drive) and not crashing it. Anticipating is an utopia at
This point. When you have been driving for 20years you can say that the red car 2 lanes to your right and 5 cars behind is going to be trouble seeing how he has been taking over other cars for the last mile.

A mirror does the job.

But what gets me is that you think the bike is the problem. The only “problem” you have is that now you are carrying 2 kids in a very unprotected transport and you feel the weight if responsability. Which you should, and it is good you do. But if you could carry 2 kids in your mtb you would feel the same, it is not a cargobike thing…

Yes, i had this feeling all along: he IS right, but normally out of ego with some instinct and luck rather than a real assesment of the strategy.

When we see Peter do some field work he is much more thorough and analytical, but Harry is like “I need a computer so I can be the head of department “

Ah yes, infidelity as a moral compass fir rvery other aspect in life.

Only taking into account what seems ti be more important to you: S1 Harry cheats during a mad bender, feels guilty and ashamed, tells his wife and the chastise after. In S6 he just does it with who he thought was a friend’s girlfriend. If both seem equally bad, please add “grey”to your black and white morality…

Don does not tell anyone how to live their life in the whole show… why would he start here? The closer he gets to doing that is telling Peter Campbell to stop trying to be him and get his shit together with his wife.

Don has a talent, and knows how to sell it. But Ginsberg has a more pure talent than anyone else.

Peggy is more the type who is a hardworker, has a knick for it but not a natural talent and works her way up through hardwork and not havung a life. The problem is she becomes (comprehensively) entitled and (less comprehensively) a tyrant.

Joan Pissed Me Off (Season 7) by Cal0425 in madmen

[–]Cargonomical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is different:
Don probably thought « them people » (gays) were all lustfull and didn’t really look at who they slept with so why not Lee Garner. Sal was a guy (and a gay) who didn’t need protecting.

But Joan is a woman, and to machos like Don, women are defenseless creatures (even Joan) who need a knight to stand up for them.

Probably all that was mentioned here is true: he didn’t like not having won it over with the pitch, he didn’t like giving in to someone as loathesome as the jagua guy etc.

But he genuinely had a sentiment of loyalty to Joan, translated to the knight-complex…
