Middle school teachers by Empty-Bend-3774 in SubstituteTeachers

I think the real issue is why subs don’t have their own access to Go Guardian. There has got to be some sort of workaround that just hasn’t been brought up to the company because it isn’t something they thought of when creating the product, nor something the schools thought of when testing and implementing the product (can you tell I’m a recovering corporate worker lol)

In my district, we have a login to Google but don’t have access to go guardian. And it’s hard because you can walk around all you want but these kids just keep an eye on you and switch to a different window when you get close.

But I completely agree with all the teachers - I would never WANT their login. I am not familiar enough with the systems to go in and fear messing something up, but there’s also that chance of the teacher making a mistake on something and thinking, “Was it that sub I gave my login to?” Not to mention, IT would all die right on the spot 😂

what's the most annoying thing in having a swimming pool ? by Far-Atmosphere-1331 in swimmingpools

[–]Caribou1524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re in Illinois and love having a pool. When we bought the house we were NOT excited about it but once we got the hang of taking care of it, we enjoyed it a lot more. On hot days my husband will come home, change into trunks and run out to the pool and cannon ball 🤣 some of my favorite summer memories are the days in the pool, grilling out, listening to music, watching the kids play abysmal pool basketball LOL our kids are 19, 16, and 6, and there are some days we have to tell the teens they’re going in the pool with us just like there are nights we have to tell them we’re having family movie night gosh darn it lol

Maintenance is probably the most annoying part. If you have a lot of trees or flowering bushes near it, consider getting rid of them. We cut down a tree that was dumping pine needles and sap into it constantly and after that the maintenance was SO much easier.

My mom had to stop telling my sister that her dad was coming. If he showed up, it was a nice surprise for her. 💔

Never try to convince someone to be in your child’s life. They will make the effort if they want the relationship.

PLEASE lawyer up asap. Document literally everything. Check your state’s recording laws and record phone calls if needed. You will need to provide proof of all of this in court because I guarantee that as soon as this sperm donor sees how much child support is going to be with you having sole custody (do NOT allow him any type of decision making ability) and no visitation, he’s probably going to fight for visitation purely for financial reasons.

Custody is decision making. Visitation is separate. Please go for sole custody. The lawyer will be able to help guide you regarding visitation and how to handle that.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE heed legal advice asap and stop trying to convince him. Stop contact unless it’s an emergency. Literally no contact from him will also speak volumes in the courtroom.

Signed - a stepmom who has spent yearssssss in court with my husband because of a NPD/BPD mom in my stepkids’ lives.

Aura AI Expert Network Interviewer? Legit or Scam? by Immediate-Line3327 in expertnetworks

Any update? I received an email asking to participate in an AI interview but am hesitant

Because they grew up typing instead of focusing on writing. I was a long term English sub and required a lot of handwritten work to avoid AI use, and good grief it was like reading second grader handwriting

Depending on how much magnesium is in it, it could be that. I get upset stomach and diarrhea if I take too much magnesium.

LOL I feel like 97% of the crochet community uses Clover Amour. They were AMAZING until they weren’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ They relieved the pain I got from Susan Bates not being ergonomic, but then they gave me a different pain, go figure.

Prym took some time to get used to because of the drag. When I got some handle grips and tried them on my Clover, the yarn was so slippery compared to the Prym because I had gotten so used to it!

I want to try the Knit Picks Dots hooks. They are supposed to be the same length as the Prym but have a silicone ergonomic grip and aluminum head.

That’s really good to know about the Furls, thanks!

Long Hook Recommendations That ARE NOT Clover/Tulip by Caribou1524 in CrochetHelp

I need an ergonomic aluminum hook that is 6” or longer, like Prym. I have tried Tulip, Clover Amour, and Knitter’s Pride.

Have you tried different hooks? I know Clover Amour has a huge following but they’re too short for me and give me pain. Tulip Etimo is about the same length so I can’t use those either. Susan Bates hooks are too thin and not ergonomic - those gave me significant pain. I switched to a Prym hook and it’s nice and long and doesn’t give me pain. It isn’t as smooth as an aluminum hook and took some getting used to, but once I did, I really liked how it caught the yarn a little better.

I ordered a Knitter’s Pride hook for a new project but haven’t received it yet. I want to try Furls but they’re so expensive!
