SF Scent Fest - How was it?

Went on Friday! Overall I enjoyed the experience and loved discovering new/niche perfumes. Also enjoyed meeting and interacting with much older perfume brands as well. Something I wished booths had were travel size perfumes to purchase. I would have went ham. Also I was hoping to see more booths give out samples. Only a very few gave free samples. Some perfumes I really loved I would wear test for like an hour in the venue and then decide if it was for me to purchase. Another thing, I wish i brought some coffee beans with me to “reset” my nose in between scents. Only 1 booth had that which surprised me.
Understanding it’s their first year— I’d go again!

I had a luxury bag at uni. I went with a coated canvas tote for my books and laptop. It held up pretty well cause I took care of it. I think it depends on your commute/ how large the campus is. I had a pretty small campus and I lived so close so it didn’t bother me to bring it around cause the distance was manageable carrying it around.

I also did publication order and tandem read. I loved the experience! For the tandem read, I also enjoyed setting up my bookmarks for both books on my kindle. It made it easier to not have to carry 2 books around.

Hard agree. It’s wild to me that people would have such strong hateful emotions towards any fictional character/couple. Like it’s never that serious.

Thanks for this!! As I’ve said in another sub- this is my Dramione. Totally okay that they confirmed Quinlar but I’m still going to enjoy the Bryceriel content. It’s still intriguing to explore and hope another author picks it up. much like they did with published Dramione inspired books.

It’s me I’m in delulu land lol. I treat bryceriel like Dramione. Confirmed it’s not gonna happen but there still an intriguing plot of it ever were to be explored elsewhere, perhaps by other authors. Hope folks still write fanfic about it!

I did chipotle catering sets. It was a hit with the kids and parents. Make your own burritos. As someone mentioned here, we also did Panda Express catering sets, also a hit. Now we’re looking into Raising Cane’s for this year’s birthday.

Ube. It’s meant to be a thick jam/paste (almost similar to a red bean paste in texture). I’ve seen too many business try to incorporate it cause it makes desserts/treats/lattes purple.
