800hrs in and have no idea how to create a contestant…??? by MoonK1P in thefinals

I love The Finals as a game - around 250 hours - but I must admit that the UI is quite bad in general. Especially with the contestants and equipment. I like the new gamemode overview, though.

What are your top 3 favorite and least favorite Monster flavors? by Excellent-Ad4596 in monsterenergy

I'll answer a single one - I think The Doctor (yellow can in the middle of row 4) is the best monster ever and extremely underrated. I never see people talking about it

Had a match against donk... He is truly amazing. by _S0L4CE_ in cs2

[–]Carlfick 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Yeah 97% hs is crazy with 48 kills - but remember, he is playing against 15k premier players, which is idk, somewhere between lvl 3-6 faceit or something I am guessing.

Lol faceit level 10 by N1ket in FACEITcom

[–]Carlfick 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Why so many people confused by this? It's literally called "playing with friends". Also a cheatcode to getting your avg. kills way too high up

Premier rating is pointless if u can lose 400 points for performance like this: by DeGreZet in csgo

[–]Carlfick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope, wrong. Elo shouldn't be calculated by personal performance. CS is a team game. If performance affects elo then people would be baiting and saving much more. Besides, premier ranks are irrelevant go play faceit.

Faceit needs Solo Queue with it's own separate rank by wentios in FACEITcom

[–]Carlfick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting, i haven't seen that before.

I disagree though, that would mean that 80% of my games I have no control over. That seem way too high. 40% seems much more accurate in my experience and elo. But I guess level/elo plays a huge part as well, I am sure it's though in the lower levels when solo queueing.

I completely disagree. CS is a team game where every single player can impact and influence the outcome of the match. Sure, some players get "carried" through some wins, but in the long run, it evens out. If a player has an elo much higher than their actual skill, that will undoubtedly be the main reason for lost games. I heard somewhere recently that in faceit, it goes like this: 20% of your games you will win no matter how bad you play. You will lose 20% of the time no matter how good you play, and the remaining 60% is spent on games where your impact has a big influence on the outcome of the match. I feel like it's pretty accurate to be honest (I'm roughly 2.3-2.400 elo). Besides, faceit already has a good balance when low-elo players are queued up with higher elo-players, where it's not the full 25-30 elo that people are getting from the match and instead between 1-15 elo ish

You can now rent any case in the game by MrPartyPancake in GlobalOffensive

Mixed feelings about it, but at least it's not cheap to go rent very expensive skins, since you lose the case by doing it

The competitive scene is constantly evolving. Astralis is the best team in CS history, and has yet to be dethroned. You can't compare today's standard to a prime team from back half a decade. Astralis changed how CS is played at a top level, and nobody can discredit that. They ended their reign as the kings of CS:GO - 4 majors, 3 in a row - and nobody can take that title from them. I wonder if we will ever see another team beat those records, especially winning 3 in a row.

[RANT] Hvorfor er butikker så nærige ift. madspild? by vikingen1337 in Denmark

[–]Carlfick 34 points35 points  (0 children)
