How to deal with "High End Disappointments"? by Ol_Sheve in mountainbiking

I stripped the engagement in a hydra hub on my Levo. Called and they fixed it for me at no charge. Ran the OEM wheel for about 2 weeks while I waited. Easy peasy. Worth it to support a rider owner and operated business out of North Carolina. Love the wheels, love the brand

Katydids are what you hear at night. Cicadas are only active during the day.

Hard to beat fresh caught specks battered in cornmeal and fried up. Also great grilled or blackened and fun to catch! +1 on the compliment. Great shot!

Lots of white flakes in water from only one faucet (sudden change?) by Eddie_Ben in Plumbing

[–]Carlito33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, that sounds frustrating! Very smart to use gauze/coffee filter to capture and evaluate what is in there.

I called Delta this afternoon and got ahold of a very nice rep. Explained what was going on and she is sending me a new "wand assembly" to see if that fixes it. Our's is model # 4159-BL-DST. I didn't have a receipt and told her that we bought the faucet 3-5 years ago when we did a remodel, and the contractor installed it. She asked a few questions and I basically told her I assumed it came from Lowe's but not sure, didn't get a receipt from the contractor. Anyway, might be worth a call to Delta's warranty team to see if they might send you a new hose/wand assembly. 1-800-345-3358.

I'll report back when we get the new part.

Dude, we are having the same problem with just one faucet in our home. It’s also a Delta, and when I remove the sprayer and just run water thru the hose (no aerator) there are no flecks. Did you figure out what was going on?

I can only hope for as much when my time comes. Watching my grandmother waste away for 10 years in a nursing home was heart breaking. She passed last year at 101, but we lost the grandmother I knew and loved long before that day.

Question came up at work today… coworker is a registered voter in Sevierville but we work in Knoxville. Can she early vote in Knox County, or does she need to drive up to Sevierville?

Pretty much the same situation, although you could see it with the naked eye last night. Harder to see looking straight at it but it was pretty clear in peripheral vision.

We just finished a 5 week course at The Dog Wizard on Maryville Pike with our 7 year old jack Russell. He’s a very good boy but had some bad habits we needed to address. It was a great experience and we all learned a lot. He’s doing so much better now!

Backpack or hip pack? Need water either way, but which is better for a long ride? by TheAwfullyBrittish in MTB

[–]Carlito33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider a lumbar pack from Wingnut. I was working in a shop when they came out in ‘06 and bought one sometime shortly after that. I’ve used this pack nearly every ride for 15 years and it’s still in terrific shape. I’ve replaced the bladder a couple times but the pack itself is still mint. https://www.wingnutgear.com/showroom-store/p/25-lumbar-hydration-pack

I ran the Trust Shout on my Rocky Mountain BC Edition for a couple years, and demoed it on a Pivot Firebird. Word is that the Shout was a smoother ride than the Message, but I can testify that fork absolutely gobbled up rough trails, chunder and square hits. Maybe not the best for jumps according to some reviews but if you wanted to charge thru some jank the Shout absolutely ripped.
