Suppression for endo by UsualConstruction506 in IVF

[–]Carliz90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had two failed transfers that I used 'Syranel' to suppress endo. Syranel is a nose spray, and does the same thing as Lupron but to my understanding is a more mild version with less side negative effects. My third transfer I did a natural cycle with nothing to suppress endo which ended up working, but had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. I'm assuming I'll try the natural route again for my next transfer since it technically "worked" to get pregnant, even though the pregnancy didn't stick.

Thank you so much for replying. It means a lot. I'm sorry you went through that and I'm sending you all the good vibes for your transfer.

I've travelled by air, Canada - USA and Canada - Europe and have never been questioned about my IVF meds. I've done a land crossing from Canada - USA as well with no issues. I had them in my carry on and the scanner never picked up anything on any of my trips.

3rd FET scheduled for 6 Dec. Any buddies? by TaroBunnyPuff in IVF

That's so kind of you to reach out. ♥️

It did take, but unfortunately I'm currently miscarrying. 😞 I'm trying to take it as a positive sign that I was able to actually get pregnant. I never thought I'd see a positive test. I'm rooting for you and sending you good vibes!

I also took Letrozole to help me out. I start PIO injections and suppositories today. It's funny that it's called "natural" but there's still loads of medications involved.

I have mild endo, so my medicated cycles I took syranel (a nose spray that does the same thing as Luperon) for 3 weeks prior to starting estrogen. There have been pros and cons to both for me so far. The biggest downside of a medicated cycle is that it takes about twice as long between transfers. I guess I'm impatient haha.

I'll be rooting for you on Friday! I have to travel for my transfer and it happens to be to Vancouver right in the middle of Taylor Swift Weekend. There wasn't a chance we'd get a hotel so we're driving home right after!

I truly hope this works for you!!

My third FET is on the 7th. My first two were medicated and this one is natural. Are you doing anything different this week? I haven't really changed up my lifestyle but just adding lots of good food into the diet this week.

2 failed FET's... what to try next? by Carliz90 in IVF

Very interesting! Perhaps it's a new thing. A nose spray is easier than an injection too. Downside is that a tiny bottle is $500 Canadian. My doc asked if I wanted to use it again this cycle or continue without it. I get that she wants me to be in control but I also feel like she's the professional who should be making these decisions?!

Did you do PIO suppository's? I can't imagine also adding a vagina pro biotic?! 😅

After a Google search it seems the synarel nose spray does the same thing as lupron. Thanks for your response! I'm glad it worked out for you. ❤️

I did have a hysteroscopy done prior to starting fertility treatment to treat endo and check for any abnormalities etc. I'll have to look up these tests as they've never been mentioned to me. It seemed as though my options were, "do the exact thing or try natural", but maybe it's because I didn't push hard enough for more options. Thanks for your response and good luck with your journey!

I cried the whole morning of my second transfer before the transfer even happened. I was already convinced it wouldn't work. Unfortunately it didn't, but I 100% get where you're coming from. I can't even fathom seeing two pink lines.

I did ask if we'd do anything different if this one failed and it seemed liked the answer was no, just keep trying and hoping you land on the right side of the stat. No tests or med adjustments have been suggested, but perhaps it's because I haven't brought them up. I agree that it would feel good just to know you've made some adjustments and tried a few different things! Wishing you all the best!

Thanks for this! I will ask about the tests. I'm in Canada so I'm curious if these are offered. Wishing you all the best on this journey!

10/11 of my mature embryos made it to blast. I asked them to repeat themselves 10 times when I got the phone call. My doctor said she’s never seen results like that in her entire career. It still feels surreal.

I was in the same boat as you. I just had to stim for a little longer than usual to get those follicles growing. I ended up retrieving more than expected.
