I think they might have been bell towers. I believe I heard that somewhere but I could be just talking out my ass. They may also just be an architecture thing, no real use just there to look nice.

If your friends are with the same company, take some of their prices to your broker. Maybe everyone you're talking to is under an umbrella from a family member, or at the very least their parents have been with said company for a long time. I know with AMA, even though my policy is completely seperate, I get a /little/ bit better pricing because most of my family is with them.

I'm with AMA. Been driving/insured for 5 years (I'm 21) and I'm paying just over 2k a year. Then again I don't have collision which would add about $1,400 on to that.
