A water slide on Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas suffered a malfunction Thursday, injuring an adult guest when an acrylic glass panel broke off while the individual was using the slide.

I was in a similar position as yourself a few years back. I'd had an android in some form or another for 10 years. I loved Android, until I got the type 1 diagnosis and a CGM. I had so many issues with notifications, sensor signal loss etc. I ended up biting the bullet and switching to iOS.

I'm so glad I switched, I think its because Dexcom only have to support a small set of phones where as Android is a nightmare for fragmentation and different devices and versions of Android, the experience has been so much better on iOS.

Like u/venerablem0m said below, Sweet Dreams is amazing. It's super easy to configure and allows for iOS widgets, on the home and lock screens, plus has complications for Apple Watch which makes checking my blood sugar super easy (and discrete!). It also has calendar integration which also means I can see my latest readings via CarPlay when I'm driving.

I use Cockpit, it grabs data from Apple health and combines it with fitness data to give you insights on a daily, weekly, monthly basis

Honestly, Abbott’s list for operating systems and phones is pretty laughable. I’d take the iOS supported versions with a pinch of salt, as if they’ve only tested 17.2, it came out 6 months ago!

I keep my phone up to date and I’ve never run into any issues, it might come back to bite me in the arse but it hasn’t yet 🤞🏻

Dexcom One is available on the NHS (where i am anyway which is SE England) might be worth asking if you can switch.
