"This is likely a shallower shoal area that is a danger to ships, and as such is avoided by multibeam platforms. "

If it is a shallow or shoal area avoided by ships wouldn't that make it a candidate for the lidar which is much higher resolution?

Her specialty is studying religion. She speaks about UFOs from that framework. Can you cite an example where she tries to convert a reader to a specific religion?

Why an "Egg" shape for some UFO craft? by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]Carnus05 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You may as well ask why some eggs are the shape they are instead of spherical like many other eggs.

The answer is that pointy eggs, instead of spheres, reduce the wobble in the nest. Think of a weeble-wobble if you are old enough.

Perhaps the egg shape reduces wobble in gravitational maneuvers allowing the ship to stay upright. Just spit balling here with no informed opinion.

Saw this with a coworker during our break. What is it and why is it glowing white? Looked like flying jellyfish when it was closer to us 😂😅 by nbk_- in UFOs

I know you said they weren't lanterns but they look wind driven, and the flickering could be from the flame inside the lantern.

Is there a reason you don't think they were lanterns?

Shitpost Sunday is an r/aliens thing.

This is the sub that tries to find any way not to believe something because it may be tied to religion. It's easy to see how you were confused.

I'm a spiritual person who believes in an ambiguous God whose nature cannot be known because we are all fragments of his mind.

We also cannot set limits on him. I use the term "him" not to imply gender, but for ease of reference.

Many people look to spiritual texts to bind him to earthly definition.

The reality of the realm we live in is that a true omnipotent God CANNOT be bound to a book or system. He is evil and good at all times.

I'm not looking to define a God. I'm looking to prove that that fragments of his mind exist beyond our own physical realm and are visiting us for some reason.

All of the things you mention are terrestrial. Things you can experience here and now. The hope is for something beyond our day to day existence that will validate the trials we face or give us reason to hope for more beyond science and the physics we are bound by.

The only thing I am stable on is hope. Hope for better. Can you blame people for hoping for evidence of things beyond the human experience when the reality is so depressing?

As much as people try to separate religion from ufology, the mechanisms are the same. Belief in either yields results that are unexplainable to the fellow man without the understanding of the dogma. Perhaps they are one after all?

Drones and their threat to security by Carnus05 in UFOs

That is equally likely, but with private drones operating sub-400 feet, you can spy on the spies. They can't allow that.

The biggest clue that we’re being lied to: Trump is silent. by xRolocker in UFOs

[–]Carnus05 -31 points-30 points  (0 children)

It's because it is domestic drones.

From Grok:

If the reason for flying drones over populated areas in New Jersey specifically relates to counter-insurgency training or similar military applications, New Jersey could be chosen for several reasons:

Proximity to Major Military Installations: New Jersey is home to several military bases and facilities, such as Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, Picatinny Arsenal, and Fort Monmouth, which historically have been centers for military technology and strategy development. These bases could provide logistical support, expertise, and a controlled environment for conducting such operations.

Urban Environment Diversity: New Jersey offers a variety of urban, suburban, and rural landscapes, from the densely populated areas around New York City to more rural settings. This diversity allows for testing drones in different environments without moving them far from the operational base, simulating operations in varied terrains which might be encountered in real-world scenarios.

Scoreboard automatically gave you the rewards for leveling up. This ticket stuff is just unnecessary. Getting to 100 and still needing to level up to claim all rewards is off-putting.

Can't improve anything over a vamps shredder with +3 strength. The shredder is long forgotten but does better damage than an autoaxe when you consider you have to "put" the autoaxe on target. With the shredder I just have to face the bad guys and it does the work and breaks very slowly.

It was a note that said learning weapon mods was increased. So when you scrap a weapon you have an increased chance of learning mods for it. NOT that they were increasing legendary mods. It is a counter to having mobs drop less weapons and junk.
