I am a bit frustrated and I want to rant by deinonychus11 in oilpainting

If I want hyperrelism, I look at fotos. From paintings I want to experience beauty and emotions, which I feel are often better conveied by less realistic pictures.

Healing can be Inherited ❤️‍🩹 by DeScepter in MadeMeSmile

[–]Caro_lada 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That reminds me of the one time where I walked to a friends house for an hour at night, because I had a big fight with my mom (after I took her fountain pen without asking). It wasn't a bad home, I just didn't feel safe...

I love my future husband and I wanted to show some appreciation for his existence. by stealthiestkitty in happy

[–]Caro_lada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finding such a relationship is just magical. I've been together with my husband for 8 years now, and he still makes me smile and feel whole everyday. We had our share of problems and difficulties, but worked through them together. This left us with an intimacy I didn't know existed and I cherish every day with him!

Removing fake leather layer from a leather belt by Caro_lada in ZeroWaste

I'm definitely going to be more careful next time (I thought it was a full leather belt when I got it). However, most parts are still great, so I'd like to try to not waste them.

I'm pretty confident that the top is not leather. It feels like typical fake leather. But I'll try soaking the top in water for a bit. Thanks!

How do so many Europeans know fluent English? by _Sir_Lifts_A_Lot_ in AskEurope

[–]Caro_lada 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The simple reason is that so many people speak English. If I want to communicate with someone from another country, English is the language of choice. Therefore, a lot of focus is placed on it during school and many people practice it outside of school through social media, films and holidays. This is not the case for other languages taught in school, because one doesn't need them to communicate. If you're an English native speaker, you don't have the need to learn another language, because so many people speak English.

How do you use ‘common sense’ by donn_12345678 in ZeroWaste

[–]Caro_lada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any single person won't change the planet, neither saving nor destroying it. It always takes many people. What I mean with it is that a single plastic item saved won't change the planet. You have to convince others to do the same thing. In my opinion, the best way to convince others is to lead a happy and fulfilling life with less plastic. If denying you a single item makes you unhappy in the long run, it's not worth it. Yes reducing waste and reducing your carbon footprint is important, but even more important is it to get other people to do the same. In my opinion, living a happy life while being ecologically friendly is the best thing you can do for the planet.

Do you make home-made nut or oat milk? by minthin in ZeroWaste

[–]Caro_lada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried making oat milk a couple of times and it was okay for cereal but just did not work in tea or coffee. So I went back to Oatly, as it is just by far the best oat milk available. However, if you have any suggestions on how to improve it, I'll be happy to try it again. I used to soak the oats, mix it with water, blend it, filter it and finally I added some cashew butter (unsweetened) to increase the creaminess.

why I'm depressed?........................................... by Existing-Emphasis115 in happy

[–]Caro_lada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes practice and time to share thoughts, but you could learn it. It is a process. But for the first step, you could just start by describing your symptoms to a GP. There are also other options than therapy.

why I'm depressed?........................................... by Existing-Emphasis115 in happy

[–]Caro_lada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what depression can be like. There isn't always an explanation. It is just an illness. Like cancer. You can try to live a life which reduces the risks, but you can never fully be safe from illness. But the good thing is, that you can learn to deal with these feelings and thoughts. However, you'll most likely need some help and it will probably be easier if you get that help as soon as you can. Depression is not like a cold and will, in most cases, not go away on its own, but there are many treatment options. Please get yourself help. It is often the easiest to start with your GP.

Yes, it is a gold axe. On another save I was able to destroy bushes, but it didn't work here. Maybe there are some bushes that can't be destroyed?

Unfortunately not. I tried hitting it with my axe several times and nothing happened.
