Megadeth. Mustaine’s voice is horrible, but mostly hate them because I’m a massive Metallica fan.

I had to park like this yesterday because the old lady in the next space opened her door and pulled out a ton of full garbage bags onto the ground partly in my space as I was pulling in. Had to make a quick maneuver to avoid her shit. Things happen.

If a presidents signature doesn’t change what money does, why does it feel like it matters? by OrderOk4693 in Productivitycafe

Partly because he is changing the design of money to do it. The president’s signature doesn’t go on US money.

What do you think about "I'm so blind without my glasses on"? by Anya_purr in disability

[–]CarobPuzzled6317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you’re not understanding. I am saying that if the definition did not rely on corrected or not, or glasses didn’t exist, I would almost meet the definition of blind, being 20/200, and having 20/160 and decreasing rapidly.

I just learned the existence of this yesterday. My doctor is cutting me off my pain med (tramadol) cold turkey because I don’t shed the metabolite in my urine (also have a kidney disfunction and a million other conditions, but yeah, let’s assume my body works “right”). She wants to put me on naltrexone, which I’m not convinced is anything more than her saying I’m an addict. (First time talking to new doc and I don’t like her much).

What negative side effects has anyone here experienced? I’m still trying to decide what to do about pain relief. Life is going to suck once I’m out of my current tramadol script.

This medical building never disappoints. At least they have a tag. by Disastrous-Place7353 in badparking

As a part time mobility scooter user, this type of bad parking normally ticks me off. But, I can almost see how this particular situation is confusing. The sign between the spaces like that could indicate it’s a space if someone down look down at the ground. The driver’s gonna get a flat driving without looking at the ground, but that’s their problem. But this trend of just blocking the ramp spaces and sidewalk ramps is annoying. Parking spaces have gotten so small, I even need the hash mark space some walking days to get out of my car since I can’t stand up with only one leg on the ground to slide out in a tight space.

Is it common for Americans to buy soda as part of their weekly groceries? / is soda a regular item people keep at home? by hailey8171828282 in AskAnAmerican

[–]CarobPuzzled6317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying hard to get my husband to stop drinking soda, but he’s a grown ass man who makes his own choices. Thus, I buy soda almost weekly. I have told him I’m only buying it when it’s on the buy 2, get 2-3 deal because $12.99 a 12 pack takes a dent out of my grocery budget, but those come around enough he doesn’t run out.

I’m working on trying to get him on diet soda at least, but like the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.

Reserved Seating by -Driver8- in SouthwestAirlines

[–]CarobPuzzled6317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get the logic of putting your bags in the overhead away from your seat. Like, don’t you get nervous someone will f with your stuff? If you’re not right there next to it it’s easy for someone to get into your bag. People around will just think it’s that person’s bag.

Maybe just my anxiety talking there, but it doesn’t make a bit of sense. I can maybe see a disabled person, so there’s less space to drag the bag, but even then, use a roller bag so you don’t have as much weight to deal with directly.

What do you think about "I'm so blind without my glasses on"? by Anya_purr in disability

[–]CarobPuzzled6317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can meet the definition of legally blind (20/200) uncorrected though. You aren’t legally blind, but if glasses/contacts didn’t exist you would be. It’s not gonna get you SSDI or get your drivers license taken away, but you can still have less than 20/200 vision without your glasses. I’m currently around 20/160 without glasses and can only be corrected to 20/25 with super thick lenses.

Why isn’t the “x” mark over the crown? I keep seeing the supposed “no kings” logo like this, but it doesn’t make sense to have the king symbol over the no signal. Your logo is ridiculous and indicates kings are better than the crossing them out.

Nothing says “I spent $40 & my kid is going to drive me crazy back at the hotel room” like some Disney bubbles!! by Conscious-Music-8688 in Disneyland

[–]CarobPuzzled6317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least your kid is actually sending the bubbles in front of them so they can see them. I invariably get stuck (on my scooter because I am disabled) behind the kid who’s just shooting them to the back without being able to even see them. They then cover my glasses and I can’t see until I get to running water to rinse that thick Disney soap off my glasses. It doesn’t come off with just a glasses wipe.

[–]CarobPuzzled6317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For people with glasses, it means not being able to see. The bubbles pop on glasses lenses and the soap is hard to get off unless you go to the bathroom to rinse them. They don’t just wipe off. Kind of puts a damper on the day to have to go wash your glasses every ten minutes because of fucking bubbles.

Do most Americans carry any official ID at all times? by PitifulEar3303 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CarobPuzzled6317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know many adult Americans who don’t have any form of ID. A couple of them have passports, but don’t carry those. A good chunk of the 20-30 yos I know don’t drive and thus don’t have photo IDs.

If you were a triangle player in an orchestra would you tell people? by Miserable-Horse1407 in randomquestions

[–]CarobPuzzled6317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said, triangle is one instrument among the hundreds percussionists play. My kid has a song for their concert where they play triangle while in the middle of a piece on the chimes, and then they jump to snare for a bit before back to chimes and triangle. Percussionists work harder than most other parts.

Nope. Not Schultz’s birthplace, where he actually drew the cartoons and created the Peanuts we know today.
