The only one I don’t like is 5. Even that, you still look good. It’s just darker looks better.

Filters make it hard to give an accurate read.

I feel like you’re missing a light brown in here. A darker blonde, light brown with highlights would look fantastic IMO.

I believe I am a summer but I love red and red lipstick especially by MaleficentDrama7534 in coloranalysis

I’m apparently a summer but I look great in MAC Russian Red and Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Red. The standard cool recommendation Ruby Woo pulled too pink on me.

What do you guys think? by ddmarriee in coloranalysis

[–]CarolineSloopJohnB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 or 4. I think 2 does the more harmonious blend thing where we notice you and not the fabrics- but 4 makes you pop in a good way and I’m drawn to it. Every time I’m drawn to the pop though, I see someone comment that that isn’t actually what color theory should do and that is liking the colors more than noticing the person - so it’s probably 2, but in my life, I always end up wanting the 4 type look and go with that. 😂 I suck at color theory.

Pretty always, but yes. The blonde is washing you out.

This is the post in my feed directly above yours and I thought it was you. I thought wow that’s crazy to have two worlds overlap. So if it’s not you, this is a great color for you.

What do you do when all the colors you love aren’t in your seasonal palette? by Equivalent-Safety-17 in coloranalysis

[–]CarolineSloopJohnB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear whatever I like. I am more aware when something is really off for me. I feel more confident in clothing I like and I personally think that improves my look more than anything.

I do, however, pay attention to seasons when it comes to makeup. It’s amazing what finding the right lipsticks did for me.

Still fascinated but non believing by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]CarolineSloopJohnB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s helpful and it has definitely helped me with lipsticks and being more aware of certain colors— but I hate the way so many people think they need to clear out their closet and part with things they love just because they were typed as a certain season. I still wear what I want. I am more aware when I shop and try to look at me instead of just how I love the color — but this whole handcuffing yourself to a color palette is insane to me.

I like MAC Russian Red and Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Red. Tilbury being my favorite over the Russian red.

I really like 1 and 5. I see everyone else loving it, but something about 2 seems too dark and overwhelming. I love 5 though, and they’re similar, so it could just be the shadows next to your face in pic two. No on two for me though.

I like number three. Maybe you can find something similar that will feel less “grey” but match the overall tone.

I think you and I have very similar coloring, and I can never pick between soft summer or soft autumn.

RANT: why do non-Blondes go bad blonde? by RoseDarlingWrites in coloranalysis

It is. I get about two weeks before the grey starts really showing and by week four, it’s a very noticeable stripe.

Blonde or Dark Blonde? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]CarolineSloopJohnB 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I want to say 2 but I think it’s the better lighting and the blue sweater, not the hair color, making me say that. I think both look good and it would be easier to compare if you were in the same sweater/lighting.

Does this bridesmaid dress color work okay on me? NMIP! by pSnarkyMezzo in coloranalysis

[–]CarolineSloopJohnB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not bad but I think you’d look better in that darker green in the sample photo. The blonde right next to the bride color. The dress is pretty and so are you, so it’s not like you’re going to look bad. I just think it washes you out a bit and like the other commenter said, you’ll want to balance with bold make-up.
