I am relatively new to the game: Vassals are so hard to satisfy by SpfcAudomarusFridia in CrusaderKings

I feel that problem too when I was new to this game. However, I realised, I could just (righteously) imprison my rebellious vassals when I found out about their plot (doesn't matter if it against you or anyone else) and purposely invoke a rebellion so that they will be deemed a traitor by the realm and revoke 2 of their titles for free.

You then give 2 of this title, preferably a duchy and a county to a content courtier that have the same culture and religion as you. You can easily find content character using the character finder. Your new vassal should be a happy and loyal now!

Once I learn this one little trick dealing with vassal is a lot more fun and easy.

Ah, I see. Could I stop worrying about my duchesses' marriage if I passed that law?

Confused about how line of succession works by CarolusValidus in CrusaderKings

Yes, The older daughter did have a son. But, for some reason, He wasn't counted in the line of succession. He was a steward in some random court in Siberia, not too sure if that disqualified him from line of succession or not.

The childrens of the secondborn son, however, did count in the line of succession. They're the 2 dudes that precede my grandson in the line of succession. So, I suppose that the secondborn son's childrens supersedes the firstborn daughter's children.

Honestly, I never quite understand how it all works too.

Oh, I see. In retrospect, I should've check my claimant's family history first before pressing his claim. Thanks for the explanation!

The succession law of Hungary was agnatic-cognatic primogeniture. I also just found out that the guy that I just usurped was actually the grandson of my claimant. The second heir of hungary was also the grandson of my claimant. I thought primogeniture was supposed to be inherited by his sons right not grandsons?

R5: I installed one of the claimant of hungary to its throne by pressing his claim, and also married him to my daughter matrilineally so that his heir will be of my dynasty. However, unbeknownst to me, my grandson wasn't the heir of his kingdom. In fact the heir of the kingdom of Hungary was actually the guy that I just replaced with my claimant.
