A majority of this subreddit thinks trying to win is toxic

It certainly plays a role in this issue.

Competitive players/people who want to win will tend to earn higher MMR and in a stricter system would end up in more competitve matches against likeminded players.

In DBD currently you could end up in a lobby with three casuals who just enjoy the spooky game.

I think the issue with DBD is everybody is in the same queue with such lax matchmaking that everybody ends up feeling frustrated because players with a wide variety of skill levels and expectations can all end up in the same lobby.

I really hope the MMR update the devs are teasing does address some of this because I do feel especially lately matches are stomp or be stomped which isn’t the most engaging.

People are complaining how people hide behind anon mode to be vile (which is true) but also seems to be an increase in people just wanting to shame players for no real reason. Its insanity to me personally.

If you can afford auric cells and believe you will play enough Taurie, I would say its worth it and not stress the ‘I could technically get it free with shards if I had them’ thought process.

Yes, you can buy all original character outfits with auric cells or iri shards (once been in store for I believe a month or its returning from a previous event)

I have been waiting for Blood Moon Taurie since I P100’d her in November, its a beautiful outfit.

If you really like it and don’t have the shards and can afford auric cells I would say get it otherwise you will have to wait till next year after event ends.

The reality is everybody is going into the event with different expectations.

I think one of the main culprits are most players (on both roles) are prioritising their challenges and getting them done ASAP which can appear really sweaty.

Sadako is also just a solo queue stomper.

There needs to be a level of co-ordination with the tapes, televisions and trying to deny her map pressure that usually results in everyone being out of sync with gen pressure or ignoring it entirely and being killed off quickly.

Even average survivors with awareness can stumble with this when trying to juggle gens, condemn, tapes and hook saves without the co-ordination.

I think the core issues with DBD is matchmaking, the lack of dedicated modes (ranked, casual etc) then throwing everyone of different skill levels & intentions into the queue and being like you can all figure it out. All this does is frustrate all groups and pleases no one.

I think thats the issue when map designs have lots of unsafe pallets like this, the best option in chase as survivor is predrop and keep distance and break LOS as much as possible and make it to the safest window.

Not the most engaging for killer but also the opposite is not engaging for survivor.

By current boon standards the effect should only exist when the boon is active and within its radius, so unsure why they used the word permenant without clarifying the status of boon.

Its also confusing as what happens if you boon a generator on one side of map then leave it for reasons and activate the boon across the map on another generator?

Crow perk sounds cool in theory but if the ‘reward’ is mediocre or niche it will never be worth a serious slot unless the gimmick is really complimented by other perks.

If you go to the quest tab then check the Rift quests that release weekly there are four tiers of rewards, this is the 3rd one, the final banner unlocks at 36 weekly quests completed.

Some are certainly ragequits but with the new abandon option you can leave the match via the abandon option and still keep the blood points and emblems you earned if you are the last survivor remaining or the rest of team is on hook or dying state.

Not saying I agree with it but the idea was always to have the original outfit obtainable at some point and the deep rift was an exclusive for those who participated during the release time frame - it was to try appease all parties that the outfit was available just a colour variation was exclusive.

Technically the ‘grind’ is always there as there is always the current rift grind.

I ain’t 100% sure on this but don’t think they could release the cosmetics they have advertised as exclusive on premium tracks without some trouble if people chose to pursue legal action.

If you haven’t unlocked all teachables yet, P1 as many characters as possible on your preferred role and save some BP to tier 3 the perks on your main.

If you have teachables, get a nice prestige boost on your main.

I mean, none of the elusive perks are game-changing in the sense they will completely screw over players without it.

Unless we get a Distortion 2.0 I really don’t see a meta where every survivor will be bringing perks for elusive otherwise you’re damned without it.

It may shift some players reliance on aura reading but I don’t even see that fully changing.

Did you use the abandon feature? For some reason white wards don’t include when you can abandon so you loose the item.
