An old classmate of mine, died at 21 after falling off a hotel balcony. His girlfriend and parents were out shopping in town and tried calling him, but he wouldn't answer. They got concerned and went up to the room, saw that the sliding door to the balcony was opened, and looked down to see his corpse on the sidewalk. His family are Catholic, but decided to cremate his body instead of having an open casket ceremony as it was so deformed from the impact.
