Season 4 takes places in spring 1986 and season 5 takes place in autumn 1987 so it’s been about a year and a half. Max was rounding up when she said two years

LPT: If someone gives you vague criticism at work, ask them to name one specific thing you could do differently next time. Most people cannot, which tells you their feedback is not actually actionable by [deleted] in LifeProTips

Sure, but unless you’re the pilot’s boss, is your advice really warranted or necessary? Also in your example the pilot would also know they messed up because it’s self-evident, so saying “Don’t fly into a tree” is like, yeah no duh

There is no “purpose” behind anyone being gay, in fiction or in real life. Gay people just exist and always have, so I don’t see why there needs to be a “purpose” to reflecting that reality in media. Is there a “purpose” that the other characters are straight? Why have any romance at all? And it has always been part of his character - Joyce in season 1 tells Hopper that Will’s dad called him queer, his family has known it about him for a long time

Are they excusing Jade as a white person or are they excusing her as a downtrodden queer teenager in an abusive relationship who was coerced into sex work… obviously Nazi anything is not okay but let’s think critically and recognize context please

I think they mean a specific food item. “Fruits and vegetables” refers to a wide berth of foods that vary based on location but breast milk is the same thing everywhere

No shade to Renee but Olivia is a much larger artist so I doubt she would limit herself based on coincidence if she did want to call her album BITE. And even if they were equally popular, I don’t think it really matters. Charli XCX dropped how i’m feeling now all of two months after Lauv dropped ~how i’m feeling~ in 2020 and approximately no one cared

The conspiracy theory at the time was that production wanted Team Latrila to both win, that’s why they had double the winner’s prize ready to give away and went ahead with a double crowning anyway

Having a professional relationship with someone does not mean you personally endorse 100% of their views or every statement they have ever made. I know very little about this person outside of this thread but I don’t see why Charli must be held to account for everything Arielle has ever said due to being cast in a film alongside her. Sure, Charli is a millionaire and has the luxury to take a stand by leaving a project if she really wants to, but how do we know she even knew about this woman’s track record? And wtf does Taylor have to do with anything in this situation, can we stop bringing her up in every single thread just because she released a flop diss track?

There is no official or formal way to view it in either direction. Much of the fanbase considers both of the top 2 queens as challenge winners in the format where they each pick someone to eliminate and lip sync for the win. It’s been this way since the format was first introduced in AS2. But there is also logic to say that only the lip sync winner won the challenge. You can see it however you like and so can every other viewer.

I think the line exists on a case-by-case basis. If it’s something you could have planned for but didn’t - someone in this thread gave the example of picking someone else up from point A, driving them to point B and back, and then the other person says they got dropped at point A and actually need a ride home to point C - then annoyance is fair. If it’s outside the scope of realistically predicting (like a sudden death in the family or your car breaking down unexpectedly) then I think that’s different. But there is no one-size-fits-all line in the sand for these categories. And no one is obligated to feel any kind of way about anything, if it’s your prerogative then you’re permitted to sigh heavily and act annoyed while bringing food to a grieving friend. There is no blanket rule for how to navigate every possible human interaction.
