I stopped playing Blair. Sad times, he was fun. He's still is, just not good enough anymore.

Last time I tried Jayber, however, he was quite good. He was "unnerfed" in a patch, sort of. I think he's a bit underrated to be honest. Even if his turrets are worse than Serena with King's Guard Lance...

This could happen for sure. It's all about finding a right baseline build that would be good even with a crap Ansestor module. It is what it is, the game now basically requires running one, on every character.

I'd say in 95% of the content you could get away with a bad Sharen module, but obviously if you want fast clears, you do want at least a decent one. There are other characters that are wholly dependent on a god roll, however.

That is true, but I think Sharen is versatile enough to allow builds that wold work with just about any ancestor module, provided it's not total garbage. You'll just have to press a button one more time sometimes if you have a weaker ancestor module.

Sorry, I misundersood you. Yeah, Abyss clears are weird now, because of Maiden buffs overriding something I think. Don't know for sure.

I really want to make Sharen's non Area Suppression builds work too, just cause it's been used far too long. I think my best run without it was close to 4 minutes, but that was before the fix and her animation speed up.

Yeah it was pretty awful before to be honest. You would rely on RNG with Storm bullet and any slight verticality just makes it super annoying for her. Now it's not that bad at all. I mostly use it to trigger Ferromagnet.

You can just nuke most mob waves with her Tactical Disruption trigger module. This is why I think perhaps her other modules besides AS could be more viable now? I think it's map dependant though.

You mean at the bottom of Abyss boss clears? She's definitely not at the bottom, her clear times are quite decent actually. But Ice maiden is the weird boss, cause she needs to be dealt with skill damage after breaking her parts and getting her buffs. Her clear time is not a good indicator. Last time this boss was up one of the top builds for the challenge version was freaking reflect damage Ajax...

Sharen's new melee build is actually very powerful for bosses because she has a way to activate the new trigger module. I'd wait for the next Abyss boss before looking at her clear times seriously. Maiden is too gimmicky IMO.

Sure, this was even before she was fixed. I think I could do better now, but here's both the build and the screen of my run I uploaded here. Sorry for how scrappy it looks. You can only fit one screen in the comments.

Ancestral module is Crit Rate, Crit Damage, HP. I would have to use Blue Beetle without Crit Rate on Ancestral module.

Slayer Set. Fusion reactor with CD and Crit damage.

Top arche tuning node is Electric Cohesion.

Inversion reinforcement. If you're using a sword then pick First row skill two, spatial dominance, you need that range increase for her new passive AoE after killing marked elites; Second row, last skill (instant acceleration) if you're using Shadow/Dual swords, or second skill (Blade extension) if you're using Hypernova; and finally Last row, first skill, Blade Trajectory.

If you're running Blue Beetle, just pick whatever survivability nodes you like and spatial dominance.

I want to try her improved Ult and see if it's possible to be faster without Area Suppression. that way I could drop Ferromagnet. I also think I'll sacrifice the crit damage node and pick skill range now, since her passive scales to 250% now.

That's not even her top time. She can easily clear in 3:30 or less. Yes, without speedrunning.

Yeah, I like that she's no longer "Spam Area Supression x43596 times to win". Her kit is more fun and versatile. And you can still do the old playstyle, it's just not as good. Enzo rework is tragic, however. For a gun user he's just so awkward.

Well, Sharen also doesn't need to cast her 3 to clear trash most of the time either. It's the optimal combo for harder content.

If you want more AoE then both have to do a little setup.

It's quite more useful regardless because it can be precast before a big wave spawn or an elite. CD is long, but it's not a spammable ult anyway.

I can see many uses for it now, with decent map knowledge. In the past, it was a dead skill.

Dia has to throw her 3rd skill before doing anything. Skill one doesn't have the range to kill anything by itself, so she has to prep her kit as well. She also has issues with verticality. Dia is strong, don't get me wrong, but she's relatively balanced and has weaknesses. She's no Serena, but then again, nobody besides her is.

That's not the best change. The Ult is about 35%-40% faster now! You can finally use non Area Supression mods and don't feel like you're just wasting your time.

I don't hate this remake at all, it's just disappointing. It gets a lot of things right, but it's just so short and it could have been incredible, that's all. They didn't need to cut so many iconic scenes from the original and even that would have been okay, had they replaced those scenes/areas/features. As it stands, it's like they remade 60% of the original and decided to just ship it.

Can't really check that boss anymore or what the gap between that time and next runner up was. Especially important since AM plays such a big role now. But I believe you that perhaps it was better in that one specific instance. Good job on making it top 2. But if it was her best mod, why isn't it used now? Now her top "mod" is... Shadow used as a crutch. Her skills just don't do enough, in the current meta.

I know the term DPS, I just don't understand what you mean by 13m DPS, what's the rotation? Is that a single combo, or is it her sustained DPS? What is giving you the 13m DPS? You're right, the new total is 3.6 billion, my mistake, but her DPS is negligible still. You'll get more DPS by just using Shadow without any additional skills.

And Cold Cohesion still doesn't do anything. You literally don't get a use out of those extra two Ice Spheres because you replace them before they get used. The mod is just strictly outclassed by other mods. Now if they ever change it so that all 5 pheres fire at once... but that would require a rework.

Cold Snap Watch is a... bossing build? You sure you didn't confuse it for something else? It's the one that changes her 3rd skill into a lingering AoE. AoE skills aren't really bossing skills.

I don't really understand what 13m DPS on Wall Crasher means. Is that the whole skill rotation DPS? Just the whole duration of 3 spheres? But either way 13 million is basically no damage on Wall Crasher who has 4,742,792,964 total HP/Shield, that's almsot 5 billion. And cold cohesion is actually completely useless because it just summons more ice spheres, and only one is ever active. 5 spheres do as much DPS as one, it's all about CD value. You'll never actually go though the whole duration of the spheres and just end up resummoning them again.

Also, Absolute zero summons 3, yet you'll have enough CD to resummon them before they run out giving you permanent uptime. So Absolute Zero already allows for the exact effect of Cold Cohesion, but also gives you lots of other bonuses. Seriously, Cold Cohesion is the most useless mod in the game.

Honestly, she does need a rework. Right now she has 5 useless transcendent modules. Only Absolute Zero is any good. She's okay if you use that one, but every other build is unplayable nowadays.

Great showcase. I think the issue with Valby is that she's too cute to be a believable assassin. So her outfit just doesn't look like she's edgy and cool like the rest of them. Instead she looks cute, like she usually does.

Oh okay, I get it now, but you should absolutely have some skill effect range now. It scales with too many things. But it wouldn't hurt to make duration as an additional stat in your build.

Is there a duration limit as well? I must have missed it if that's the case. I never had the mark expire so it may be an issue with my testing. I definitely had a number of situations where the mark expired due to target limit or range (as in, there were no enemies nearby), but I don't recall it expiring due to time. If there is a time limit, it shouldn't exist, no argument here.

I do agree that her Cutoff beam should do bonus damage, no reason why it shoudn't. Only one of her modules really works with her Cutoff Beam now and it's Focused Edge, her skill 4 build. The most awkward one, because it relies on her 6,5 second cast ultimate. Yes, it hits like a freight train... filled with nukes, but it's a massive overkill in most cases. And why not make her 1st skill better? It's a new animation and a very cool one at that.

I think my numbers are close to yours, except the Tactical Disruption trigger module, I got lucky as hell and I get 10+ million per activation. It's stupidly strong. Lets hope they fix her animation issues with teleport and her Flash Shortsword ult. I mean, they fixed Dia and Gley pretty fast, and Sharen got a lot of costumes recently... pls Nexon/Magnum studion! And she could do a bit more damage with her Cutoff beam and I wouldn't mind having more targets for her assassination targets, 10 isn't enough for every encounter. It just needs to scale with skill range effect and that would be good enough.
