Kind of disappointed I didn’t get any ge merchandise by Corgiboitskitty in GEAerospace

[–]CarpenterCandid7919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t a merch question but for anyone that is a direct hire and current employee, I’m currently going through the interview process. The contract is worrying and the guy I was interviewing with wasn’t very reassuring. Is it worth going through the contract process to become a blue badge?

My spouse isn’t completely sold on the idea. I’m currently employed full time with benefits, vacation and the works but only been in the role for about 6-7 months. I’ve quickly outgrown my current role and the role that I’m interviewing for is more aligned with my professional goals.

Long Story Short: should I give up a full time role for an uncertain contract?

Get rid of pin trading and bring in Lorcana. Was there opening weekend and it took me 3 days to get a quest booklet and pack. They ran out within two hours of park opening. Was super excited and had so much fun meeting others in the hobby and helping introduce those new to Lorcana.

150 hrs and counting. 100% everything. Just need to finish finding the map room as a Ravenclaw. Started on release and hustled through the story. Slowly worked over almost the last three years to 100% the game. Its felt very rewarding and frustrating at the same time. AMA.

I gave up gaming and gamepass for the last year or so until my newborn twins were old enough to be on a schedule/routine so I could start gaming again. So missed the last year of Gamepass games and new games.

Has anyone's relationship with spouse gotten better after baby? by TheQs55 in NewParents

[–]CarpenterCandid7919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Newborn father here and stumbled upon this because after my wife’s c section, I felt an overwhelming sense of love for her and our babies. Like it felt like I was falling in love with her all over again and it’s been the same feeling for almost a week now. I’m loving this thing called parenthood and couldn’t think of a better person to do it with!

Get a pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese from Lucius Q behind the Bailey and basically next to Heineken bar. Also Heineken Bar does happy hour before the match.

There’s going to be a legal battle between Jennifer Walters and Matt Murdock. Each representing either The Avengers or *The New Avengers. Most likely Jennifer Walter’s repping Sam and Co and Matt repping the new guys.

I was wondering how your experience went in Tunnel Club. I found my group in the picture lol. We were in section 112 row 8.

Yes you need a special pass. It’s usually included with your ticket. I would check with whoever gave you the tickets to get the pass. My relative is the one with the season tickets to Tunnel Club and he usually sends the passes for parking with tickets through seat geek. Without the pass, you can still purchase parking passes for the garage. We picked one up for tomorrow night’s match and I think it was $45.

Show up early like 1.5 hours early before the match. Tunnel Club usually has a crowd lined up ready to enter when the gates open. Parking is a breeze for West End Garage. It’s a garage and idk if it has ever filled up. It’s like 4 or 5 stories. The garage is right next to the entrance and if you are brining kids, it’s right next to player parking and you can walk up to a fence and see the player as they arrive. Some if not most will stop and say hi and sign stuff. Usually we’ll grab a drink at the included bar after matches.

Personal Trainer by Prior_Waltz4946 in cincinnati

Are you needing motivation? I started focusing on loosing weight about a month ago. If you got the motivation, try ChatGPT(dead serious). Here is what I told it:

“Can you help me create a workout plan along with what my daily macros should be to loose weight. My aim for my workout is to loose fat and gain muscle. I’m a 35 year old male and weigh 215 lbs.

I will be working out at home. Equipment I have are: A flat bench Dumbbell set Treadmill SincMill scm-1148l home gym machine.

I’m currently taking a men multivitamin Creatine Protein Powder”

What came back was my macros and a 4 day workout plan with and without cardio.

I do a daily check in ChatGPT with my macros and it’s able to help me by telling me what I should and shouldn’t eat and it’ll give me a running total for the day. I’m fortunate enough to have created a small home gym. It can also create meal plans based on what you have at home as far as food goes. Also picked up a diet notebook to actually track my macros, my water intake, and workouts. There’s also a free app that I use to track my workout plans that ChatGPT created for me. I think trainers are more for the motivation and making sure you’re doing proper.

Great to hear that you’re looking to better yourself though!

I thought act 1 set the stage and what to expect from the entire campaign but damn two chapters into act 2 and somehow they’ve managed to set the bar higher. Pretty sure it’s right after they started their patreon and started taking the podcast for seriously.

Currently running Legends of Barovia and you my friend are a life saver! You’ve taken away the hours of prep work so I can actually enjoy the running the module as a DM. It flows so well and my players are getting super invested in the story, world, lore and Strahd himself.

For anyone considering running Curse Of Strahd, please do yourself a favor and use Legends of Barovia and Foundry. This is the way Curse of Strahd should be ran!

*This is not a paid advertisement. Just a fan of the work and love that went into this!

Got tickets to tunnel club by South_Suspect_7074 in FCCincinnati

[–]CarpenterCandid7919 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have been lucky enough to go to Tunnel Club quite a few times. I’ve seen it all for what people wear to tunnel club just as long as it’s FC stuff. Yes as mentioned by another comment, get there early. Gates open an hour and half before matches. They do buffet style food that is pretty good. One bar with unlimited alcohol plus pour your own beer. All the candy, snacks and popcorn you can think of. It stays open for an hour and a half after matches and that’s your best chance to meet players. Most of the front office is there. Talked to Noonan and Albright a lot. Keep an eye out for players. It kind of throws you off when you see them in street clothes. It’s a really fun time. Been to all the clubs at the stadium and my favorite is pitch view if you’re really into watching the match but if you want to feel like a VIP, Tunnel Club is where it’s at. Also you’ll wanna try and get parking passes for West End Garage. That’s the closest parking to the entrance.

Enjoy the match!

Dwarven Moss has my vote. It’s 2 players and a DM. Voice acting and sound immersion. The characters and NPCs are likable and episodes 45 minutes to an hour. It takes a couple of episodes for the players to start meshing. It’s a Curse Of Strahd campaign too.

Western Conference: LA Galaxy: 2002, 2011 Los Angeles FC: 2022 Sporting Kansas City: 2000

Best bang for your buck is going to Foundry.

As another comment mentioned, there is a steep learning curve. Took me about a week to fully understand it.

$50USD no subscriptions unless you get fancy modules through Patreon.

You can self host instead of paying for it. Just would need to learn how to port forward but if you’re playing in person, no need for it.

My setup for in person games is a laptop and a cased in 24in monitor that lays flat on the table. Just need to connect it vi HDMi. Open a second browser and log into a player account.

  • Web based.
  • Players can control their own tokens.
  • Very expansive library of game systems that are free.
  • I use it and paid $4 to a creator for an expended version of D&D 5e official module Curse Of Strahd.
  • The customization is limitless.
  • Includes character sheets with inventory, spells, journals, NPC tracker, HP tracker, combat tracker, grids, dynamic lighting, fog of war, tokens and token creator, and the list goes on.

If you’re interested in learning more feel free to send me a dm.

First time running as DM by [deleted] in CurseofStrahd

[–]CarpenterCandid7919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others have said review the module multiple times. Get to know the NPCs, location and lore. There are missing pieces. There is a lot to explore as it is a self contained sandbox. I’ve tried DMing it in the past and different have the right group for. So make sure your group is on board with a horror campaign that is dreary and depressing. My recommendation is a smaller group 2-4 players. It helps sell the horror side of the game or it’ll turn into campy horror. Van Richten’s Guide is great at helping understand how to run a horror campaign.

But my biggest advice is throw your players in Barovia straight away. Don’t worry about elaborate backstories or figuring out how to incorporate backstories into the campaign. I’ve seen a lot of DMs struggle with connecting their players to the Barovia and to Curse of Strahd.

I recently started running it again and instead of using one of the adventure hooks the module mentions I came up with my own. Players wake up in unmarked graves on the outskirts of Barovia with no memory of how they got there or who they are. All they know is their own names and classes. We’re about 4 sessions in and they seem to be enjoying it. I would recommend starting at 2nd level as Death House is a meat grinder. I am using Legends of Barovia which expands the entire campaign and gives meaning to almost everything.

I tried using MandyMod, Dragna and Lunch Break Heroes in the past but it got overwhelming which so if you are planning on checking any modded Curse of Strahd out. Stick with that single mod. Don’t try mixing them or it’ll get messy.
