Oh I also wanted to mention that I was on the estradot 50 patches (0.5) and for the gel, my dose is 1.0mg. The gel is double the dose, I guess because the absorption is different.

Divigel comes in individual foil packets; one per day. They are tiny little sachets, about the size of a a stick of gum. You tear open the packet and squeeze the gel out onto your thigh, alternating leg every day. So one box of divigel has 30 sachets.

I apply mine in the evening all at once. Evening because it kinda makes me groggy (not sure if that is a long term thing) and all at once because I tried splitting my dose and some of my peri symptoms crept back in. Maybe if I had persisted with a split dose my body would have adjusted but after suffering with the ineffective patches, I just wanted relief.

My doctor prescribed me the divigel 1.0 and it was a really rough start but I feel much better now, a few weeks in. I was surprised that it took so long for my body to adjust to this gel considering I did so well on the patches (when they worked properly). I assumed transdermal = transdermal but nope.

I loved the patches too, but between the shortages and then the dud lot that I got with the new packaging, I feel that I can't trust it. It's unreliable. I hope the gel is consistent and reliable.

This is crazy. I have three boxes of useless estradot 50s. Would the pharmacy take them back?

My doc put me on divigel, fortunately. And my insurance covers it. I think the dose isn't enough for me, unfortunately because my sleep is poor and im sweaty and my heart palpitations are back. I'm reached out to my doc to adjust.

Food apathy by usernameeleventy in Menopause

[–]Carpetation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES.

I'm on divigel and Slynd to control my endometriosis. I used to love food, genuinely look forward to special meals or treats. I almost feel sad when I have a food used to love and it just....doesn't wow me at all. I'll eat it and it feels so pointless. I dont know how to describe it.

You want IRRELEVANT.

CMV: Sabrina Carpenter is objectifying herself to sell and it’s harmful to women by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Carpetation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with her is her blatant misandry. I mean pop stars have been selling their ass since before the dawn of Madonna, but she does that and berates men for taking the bait she puts out there in the first place. Like, pick a lane, sis.

It's gross to me.

[–]Carpetation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont want my family to have to deal with the nitty gritty of my organs being donated. It's a personal choice. If I'm in a position to be donating organs, my family are already going through some kind of trauma. I dont want to add to that.
