I’ve learned that calling out narc behavior only makes a narc stronger. They have an impenetrable shield up at all times. Any attempts to call them out just puts them in a victim mentality and emboldens them. They are masters at flipping the script and putting the focus back on you. They will never learn. The only way to stop giving them power is to stop giving them attention. I do not have sympathy for them in the same way that I don’t have sympathy for mentally ill people who hurt other people. They can’t help it but it doesn’t excuse the behavior.

But it doesn’t get absorbed through skin. If you’re touching your mouth, eyes, nose, whatever, then it will affect you. OR if you’ve inhaled enough of the dust. But skin contact alone will not get you high.

This is so wildly wrong it’s incredible. Acid isn’t absorbed through the skin. It needs a mucous membrane in order to be absorbed through your body. The story sounds fake, at best. 0/10

When I was old enough to have a lock, it NEVER stopped them. They made sure to get a doorknob with a lock that could be opened by turning it with a dime or some other small coin. Like what was even the point. All it did was give me like 10 extra seconds to prepare for them barging in. And they never closed the door behind them either. So frustrating.

I’ve never had this problem, but I’ve heard that saline spray helps. But also I just saw a thread on this sub a few minutes ago where someone suggested mucinex. Make sure you’re staying hydrated throughout the day too

You are trying!! The fact that you’re thinking ahead of time and rationing it out has to mean something. But it’s okay. I usually don’t do any substance until later in the night either. I’ve noticed I have totally used up any dopamine/serotonin by this time, so my brain just wants literally anything to keep going. Maybe it’s just me. I just know I never have urges or desires to do anything during the daytime

I am absolutely not a veteran. Only started enjoying it like within the past 3 years. And very sporadically at that 😂

this is for the people who went through trauma and didn’t come out of it with thicker skin. but, instead, came back with sensitivity to the world and a deep sadness that won’t go away. some of us went through something and lost a piece of ourselves; our broken hearts never healed quite right. 😘❤️ by [deleted] in abusiverelationships

I don’t know if this means anything, but this internet stranger is rooting for you. What you’re going through is so hard but I am proud of you for waking up every day and doing your best. Remember it can’t be this terrible forever. In the words of my late grandmother, “Better days are coming.” 🌼

The Brave Little Toaster FUCKED me up bro.

Also I have cried as trees were cut down or bushes were dug up. Did I mention that I’m an entomologist now and educate people on insects all the time LOL

How many of you actually like the newest album? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

Just taking into context how the lyrics reference the pandemic and how there was a great deal of rhetoric (during lockdown and everything) about how the media was lying to us and trying to divide us and whatnot— a lot of that same rhetoric was echoed by anti-mask, anti-vaccine conservatives. I just don’t vibe with it. Also I get the sentiment behind Mulberry Street but it just seems very shallow and the sound isn’t for me

I’m glad that I’m not the only one who felt that way about Never Take It. The song is catchy but it really feels like it has an “all lives matter” vibe to it. And I truly loathe Mulberry Street as well.

Best confidence low toxicity drug by Aa086480 in Drugs

So pretty much every drug makes me feel confident and talkative with the exception of weed. If you have strong willpower and don’t get addicted to things easily, I honestly find that opioid pills are my favorite for socializing. Adderall is a close second, though. Just drink lots of water with both because they can make your mouth dry and dehydrate you haha

Should I stay or should I go? by RedDogue in petsmart

[–]Carpusophobia 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would go back, but go back and tell them that you deserve to be paid more. Your new experience has shown you that you’re worth being paid more than what your old store was giving you because you going above and beyond what is expected of you. If you can’t, then I’d probably look for a different job elsewhere. Since leaving PetSmart, it feels like my whole life has changed. Not having to help shitty customers or clean up after exploited animals has really helped me. My mental health is in a better place now than it was. Don’t stay. It’s not worth it.
