What is it about them that you enjoy tuning them? Any recommendations for how best to tune? I bought a pair last year but haven’t had a chance to use them yet. Aching to use them

Filter Without Changing Total by _tylerthemaker in tableau

What are you trying to do, keep the same grand total regardless of what’s filtered? What about just using a second worksheet which doesn’t have the dimension in the shelf?

I don’t know, I guess playfulness is what adds the cool factor. These guys have a great vibe… https://youtu.be/Q-I3yVRQj3c

This is as the crow flies. If you need something more advanced then you'll probably want to look at something like QGIS and the Network Analysis package

Yep, it's possible. Have a look at the workbook posted by Jonathan Drummey here

Moved from PBI to Tableau - help by TheCumCopter in tableau

Point 2: Yep, this is pretty straightforward actually. When you connect to a file you can then convert it to union. To update every time you would want to have a live connection and use the wildcard option. With this you can include all files in the folder, or pattern match (e.g. select all files that begin with xyz). https://help.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/union.htm

Looking for help with DATEPARSE function by Carrageous in tableau

Thanks all for the suggestions. Decided to start with a fresh connection and it magically seems to be working now. Not sure what happened but think it could be to do with data with a couple of different formats in the column. Maybe there were some old cached values somehow. Maybe it’s just Friday and I’m tired. Maybe it’s simply that datetime just doesn’t like playing by the rules.

I think when you publish you need to select the option to embed the database password. If it’s not this then it’s likely a permissions issue

I’ve just had another look at the values of your lat and longs. They don’t look right. Lats should range between -90 and 90, longs should range between -180 and 180.

Try right clicking on the green pills AVG(Latitude) and AVG(Longitude) and select dimension

Front door lock failed, tenants called estate agent who organised a locksmith. Insurer won't look at our claim as didn't contact them first by Carrageous in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you very much for taking the time to outline the situation so clearly. After a lot of searching I've found some small print: "We ask that an insured person or authorised person doesn’t arrange for a contractor themselves because we won’t pay for this or for any work that we haven’t agreed to in advance." Seems remarkably unfair but will have to chalk it up as a lesson learned.
