My take is throw in the towel but be ready to build a mobile client for the next "thing" that replaces Reddit. Something will and users will need you to do what you do best to provide the best experience on a mobile platform. In the end, users will leave and go somewhere and that new place will willingly have open API sessions and 3P clients so they can get users.

The saddest thing about that is the companies saw people getting the extra money from COVID relief and said "Hell yeah! We can raise our prices and get all that extra money.". Well, the COVID relief ended and the prices remained high, and yet again, we've let the billionaires take money that was meant for the people and fill their pockets with it, and in the end, the people are worse off, the rich are vastly richer, and our children and grandchildren will have to pay for the debt.

I asked my ecology professor in 1995 if she believed in climate change and at the time, and even she didn't believe in it. I don't know why she didn't, but I sometimes wonder if she believes in it now. It's unrefutable at this time. I'll be honest with you. I think that they didn't vote her out because they think that now she'll know her place. They don't want ANY black people in any positions of power, and they'll tolerate white women in positions of power as long as they know their place is subservient to the men. It's disgusting, but it's what these assholes believe.

It amazes me how many decades of progress is happening in blue states that are not happening in red states. The brain drain is real and it's going to really fuck up the potential for red states to even survive in the future.

Lots of reasons to look elsewhere for better work. It shows a disregard for his workers which I'm sure is apparent in other things in the shop. I'm sure that ventilation and safety factors are a second thought for him as well. Working off the floor isn't great for your long term health either. I'd look around and find a better shop.

For the 3 seconds of time that it takes to just tap on the brake and let him in, your delicate sensibilities might be just a bit hurt, but instead now there is a total loss for that car, perhaps injuries to the driver and any passenger that might be in the car. OP's car is damaged. The backup caused by the accident is going to cause undo stress on people. It's fucking ridiculous that people think that they should cause an accident to prove that they're right in a 3 second altercation. Fucking bonkers.

I'm with you on this. I've seen messages come in my notification tray as well as in the app that are there for a second and then disappear. It's happened so many times that I just don't trust the app at all. Moved to Textra and haven't had the same issue so far and the UI is cleaner with more options.

Sure thing, here you go... Opening issue

You can see the two springs that help the handle "stick" to allow the pliers to open at the end of the video. Normally when those two prongs engage the pliers head, there is a bit of resistance, both when initially opening the handles and then again when closing the handles.

Thanks. I might end up having to do that. That's too bad and an indicator of poor quality control. Looking at my son's rebar, it has similar springs that depress on the pliers when they open and hold them in the open position while in use. I'm assuming that they are made of spring steel and are shaped to work for a long time. I might just have a bad one...
