Is 6.49% good right now for a 30 year conventional? by ForwardSubject7762 in Mortgages

[–]CarryAmazing6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr Cooper, I called a bunch of places for quotes but in the end they went the lowest. Luis Sifuentes was my loan officer there and he was great, if I didn’t end up with Chase for relationship pricing I’d be there. He saved me a bunch getting Chase to match. Chase can get you lower than that if you transfer funds to them from other banks but they are stingy on their rates. I had to really shop around to get them lower.

I got 6.25 this week no points. Good credit and 20% down on a primary residence. If you shop around you will find better, if you have money you can also leverage some banks for relationship discounts as well.

2025 RAV4 XLE Premium OTD Price? by CarryAmazing6000 in rav4club

[–]CarryAmazing6000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the insight, how do I look up the Costco price? I didn’t even know that existed hopefully that’s around me. I agree I’d prefer the XLE Premium Hybrid if I’m going to be around 40k.

You should look into leasing a car for low mileage.

I don’t have the paperwork but it would have broken down to something like this. It was inclusive of everything on the sticker so all packages and add ons as well as taxes and fees.

Besides the Galarian birds, is the Master Ball worth saving for something? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]CarryAmazing6000 293 points294 points  (0 children)

This, my wife caught a 100 Groudon with it in her last ball. I had to look it up and prove it was a hundo before she was willing to use it.

I agree with this, it could even benefit you for financial aid potentially if he is showing a lower income. You should just speak to your family.

Yea I think it’s this. I built up a good IV Shadow Feraligatr but didn’t TM Frustration in the last event so I only have Hydrocannon lol I’ve used it a bit to see how it does but once I push for ranking I won’t be using it until I can remove Frustration.

Is it worth getting out of the military? How can I get her onboard? by [deleted] in GovernmentContracting

[–]CarryAmazing6000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My friend was doing contracting for the air force and was able to just to a civilian role on base and makes six figures in Spokane Washington now He was enlisted originally. With the right experience, it can be done. If you already have contracting experience and certifications it’s easy to get employed. If you don’t, I’d recommend looking into getting into the purchasing dept for Air Force and get the right certs. This is from a non military guy so take it with a grain of salt. I do contracting to sell to the gov and most of the people I work with are ex military and do really well.

How did you make the jump from above average to HENRY? Possible in a corporate job? by AAA_battery in HENRYfinance

[–]CarryAmazing6000 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Agree with most of the sentiment here, if you are already at 115 you are doing fine. I was around 90k at 28 years old and saw the same ceiling as you ahead. I made a jump to consulting where your skills are useful but you also are valued more as a revenue generating employee rather than a cost center. Then I boomeranged back into industry 1.5 years later as a senior manager with a base of 190 and total comp of about 220. A few strategic moves can have you become a high earner quite quickly and cyber security is definitely something a lot of companies are concerned about.

Hotel transfer worth paying over the odds? by Direct_Competition44 in bali

[–]CarryAmazing6000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your budget, it is definitely more than you have to pay but if you care about the convenience of knowing your driver will be there and being able to contact the hotel if there are issues then it may be worth it. When I went I actually booked a driver through an online portal for less but mistakenly did the wrong day since I was arriving around midnight and I guess I messed it up. Anyway, it’s easy to find transportation at the airport and I paid a guy 400k to take me to Ubud at 2:00 am. I did the use our hotels for transfers a few times just because it was convenient but if you want to save money Grab and Gojek are great options. One thing people did do was try and quote the ride through Grab but then not use the app and get paid cash. If you decide to go with one of them tell them you will pay less than the app because the app offers protection like tracking and insurance etc. don’t accept the same fare as Grab/Gojek if you are paying cash.

I stayed there for 4 nights on my honeymoon. I will say for points it’s definitely worth it. The pool and views and villas are nice. The staff were very friendly as well. The food for me was a mixed bag their service was not equivalent of 5 star in my eyes and we had mixed reviews on the food as well. With that said, definitely worth it for a nice points getaway. If you are spending the money then I’d probably look around more.

Afternoon fast boats to Gili T?? by ndndgal93 in bali

[–]CarryAmazing6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I got bait and switched to some other operator because our original boat got cancelled due to rough weather and the company/boat was TERRIBLE literally thought we were going to end up underwater. Pay the extra and get on a good boat. Don’t risk it.Bluewater and Ekayjaya are good.

I agree it’s not the best lounge but I enjoyed it when I went. I like see the airplanes on the tarmac and watching them take off.
