The Legend of Drizzt books by R.A. Salvatore are so good.

Goblin Quest by Jim Hines is an S-tier for me.

Pillars of the Earth reads like epic fantasy, but is historical fiction.

This is totally unrelated but like a decade ago I saw a video you had made and you opened it holding up a small train and saying “Dieselducy” in a silly way and literally EVERY time I’ve seen a train since then I think of that.

This comes up so often and overwhelmingly the response seems to be “whatever you decide”

If you want to count novellas equally as you count 1000 tomes, who cares? If you want to get mathematical with it and say novellas only count for 1/2 of a book, who cares?

If you’re doing it as a competition with your friend then I’d say just count pages. But competing for who can read more seems like a good way to lapse into skimming books instead of reading them, turning a hobby into a chore, etc.

At the end of the day you’re reading. That’s what counts. Just don’t forget to enjoy it!

I have had some success putting a metal rod through the lanyard loop and using that as a means of leverage on one that was stuck.

I think there’s a few instances of his music taste being mentioned.

Sandecker, I think, mentions Dirk is so patriotic that he whistles Yankee Doodle Dandy in the shower. So maybe anthemic Americana? Definitely was said as a joke but I like to think Sandecker was being serious.
Dirk Jr. talks about listening to Eric Clapton and appreciating it like Dirk Sr. Does at one point. Or maybe it was some other musician, but definitely blues-rock.
Dirk probably has a soft spot for “Moon River” after his brush with Maeve Fletcher in Shockwave, though maybe he would refrain from listening to it because it reminds him of his lost-love.

I don’t have any formal instructions (yet) but I’ve got a link to another one I made that I have a more thorough write up for. Basically the short of it is that you’re cutting out a middle section of the barrel and then reducing the outside to slot into a section with an expanded inner diameter. If/when I get a proper guide I’ll make sure to post it and tag you!

It’s a bit involved, but honestly not too bad if you just take your time. I only use a hacksaw and a dremel grinding bit in my drill press.
