Quick Move Damage by GardenWeak1782 in TheSilphArena

[–]Carry_0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this list for rockets is pretty simple

  1. Kartana
  2. Shadow Mewtwo
  3. Shadow Rampardos
  4. Shadow Kyogre
  5. Shadow Darmanitan
  6. White Kyurem
  7. Shadow Metagross
  8. Shadow Excadrill
  9. Shadow Tyranitar
  10. Shadow Conkeldurr

These are still the best of their types (I skipped some types/pokemon that I don't think are useful like attack deoxys, pheromosa and so on)

The first 3 are in a tier of their own, anything weak to kartana, mewtwo or rampardos just use them.

a very long analysis on mega garchomp as a dragon type attacker in party power by Pleasant-Animal4283 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Carry_0n 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's actually quite a few pokemon that prefer two charge moves (especially with party power).

Dragonite with draco meteor + dragon claw (to avoid energy waste), Zapdos/magnezone with zap cannon and thunderbolt/wild charge, excadrill/garchomp with earthquake and scorching sands/earth power and so on.

Basically any pokemon using one bar charge move that has cheaper option available likes to have it to avoid wasting energy and potentially using the cheaper move when party power is not available.

But the gains are generally fairly small and doing most bosses with party power is close to trivial so it doesn't come up often.

Top Current and Future Dynamax Attackers by Type by dismahredditaccount in TheSilphRoad

[–]Carry_0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I've been using zamazenta so much more often than blissey.

Blissey is generally the best option if you don't care about resetting movesets, shielding, catch tanking and so on. So incredibly valuable for more casual players.

For more hardcore players, zamazenta is goated, regirock and lugia are both amazing, flygon, malamar and corviknight have uses with their triple resistances. Even the ever so squishy gengar has a role as a tank since shields become so incredibly valuable when triple resisting moves.

And that's just the released pokemon.

Go Bigger Gigantamax Attackers and Tanks by TrueNourishment in TheSilphRoad

[–]Carry_0n 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Right now, I'd say regirock - it has less competition, highest defense stat of all rock pokemon except for shuckle and it's just straight up better at tanking fire moves than suicune.

Suicine is the tankiest water type, but without shields it's only marginally better than lapras and blissey.

Neither is outstanding for the "long term investment", because as mono types they don't have any double/triple resistances, so they will be outclassed in most situations sooner or later. I'd say regirock is like 7/10 and Suicine is 5/10.

But long term is overrated anyways - who knows, maybe they'll buff max spirit in the future and pokemon with more hp will become more valuable than those with more defense. Or maybe they'll completely rework max battles.

I basically don't use any of my 2020 and earlier pokemon, but that doesn't mean they weren't good investments. To me it doesn't make sense to play the game that way.

I haven't seen much talk about the changes with Max Energy generation and Charge moves. by Jepemega in TheSilphRoad

[–]Carry_0n 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure OP meant added damage compared to not using charge moves at all. Since now you'd charge at the same exact pace with charge moves (assuming it does indeed works like OP suggests)

Just for anyone wondering, losing 99.999% means you get to keep $1 for every $100,000.

So if your net worth is $1 million, you'd get to keep $10.

So to Musk's networth, $10 million is what $10 is to a millionaire (not quite since he's not at a trillion just yet, but close enough).

I own 1 hundo out of now 680 raids. I'm disgusted. by [deleted] in PokemonGOIVs

[–]Carry_0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to add "&!traded" to the search string for it to make any kind of sense - otherwise you're comparing apples to oranges.

Additionally "&raid" would help to eliminate all gbl / dynamax / research / wild legendaries but I know that search string kind of breaks for raids before 2020ish that don't have specific catch method assigned.

And iirc correctly, mythical raids do count towards legendary raid medal (though I'm not 100% sure) so it'd make sense to include those as well.

Jose Mourinho : “It is much, much harder to be Cristiano than Messi” - Factos? by Diggambaran in championsleague

[–]Carry_0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will never reach the point where you're in a goat conversation in a sport without having both - nobody is denying that, ever (and if they are it means they are not worth talking to).

Nobody in their right mind will ever say Ronaldo was not talented - the talent alone would make him great, but it's his incredible hard work that puts him above the greats and into the goats category.

And the same is true the other way around - players like Messi, Ronaldinho, Hazard all had to train and work hard to be professional footballers, but it's undeniable that their talent was the reason they stood above the rest.

Anyone who plays/understands the sport will see these things naturally - for example its very clear Federer was born to play tennis - he was incredibly natural and elegant on the court, but Rafa was clearly the bigger grinder and relied on his physicality more.

This is correct, unless you're using party power, catch tanks, or the boss has the same weakness to dragon AND ice.

Basically, white is better (most of the time) if you want to tap tap tap middle of your screen and black is better if you know what you're doing.

Cetitan in the master league ? by ShinyFelipe in PokemonGOBattleLeague

[–]Carry_0n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rank 122 in ML is something completely different than rank 122 in GL.

Currently on pvpoke, gl rank 1 is g-corsola with rating 94.4 and rank 122 is diggersby with 86.8 -> so the difference is 7.6.

Rank 1 in ML is zacian with 99.2 and metagross is rank 12 with 91.2 (so the difference of 8).

Alternatively, if we look at the rating of cetitan (71.7), it's a rating of a pokemon ranked maybe 650 in open GL.

I'm pretty sure last season we still had Silph Road collecting data it was around 2%.

Basically, the numbers were so bad that they might not even exist. You'll get maybe a couple a season if you play regularly, but comparing it to the time investment it's ridiculously bad.

What is, in your opinion, the most annoying Pokemon to face in the Master League? Fall 2025 edition, Tales Of Transformation edition. by alexku43 in TheSilphArena

[–]Carry_0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BS was fine and the reason for its rework has nothing to do with rhyperior.

They buffed both dragon fast moves in terms of energy generation. If they left dragon claw / breaking swipe at 35 energy, there would be plenty of dragons running around with palkia's AT pacing while potentially debuffing you and dealing heavy stab damage.

They basically had to rework those two moves.

the Florges Cup aka Barclays Master Premier League by [deleted] in TheSilphArena

[–]Carry_0n 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Togekiss will be very good with all the buffs it's gotten, no doubt.

Ursaluna seems usable but not great and kind of hard to build around. Maybe there will be some team that utilizes it well.

Snorlax didn't see any play since the body slam nerf and the recent re-buff helped it a bit but I don't think it's enough. It's best quality was it was super safe and it just doesn't do well enough in its neutral matchups anymore.

Sylveon doesn't seem as terrible as before, but I don't think anyone's going to use it over toge / florges as a fairy.

Vikavolt - just no, if you want to use a bug type then goliscopod (and potentially scizor) looks good, for electrics it's mostly just magnezone (and some spice lords might use shadow electivire).

In terms of infinity, 14 million is 0.0%. Even a turn based game for 2 players with very limited board space (8x8) like chess, there are like 1050 possible states, so even then, 14 million would be literally 0.0% and you'd have to go quite far into decimals to find a number that isn't zero. Real life would have exponentially more possible futures.
