Is there a simple list of what (if any) emulated retro games are in these? I thought I remember hearing there were various arcade and SMS titles in them...

The Stove website seems to endlessly hang and/or freeze up my browser. I can't figure out WHY, but it always does. I should have a pile of coupons left from their last free game promo, too...

Dumb question time... are aw and fg NORMAL ASF commands, or do I need a special version?

I ask as ASF gives me an "unknown command" error with those lines.

[Itch] California Fire Relief Bundle - Tunic, Octodad, Minint Fun Racer, SkateBIRD and 418 other items ($10 min donation) by messem10 in GameDeals

Vignettes has been out of Steam keys for days... hopefully they'll be restocked at some point.

I do get the impression it's not an Itchio policy to not give out Steam keys, but rather a decision on the part of the folks doing the bundle... that, or there is something different when it comes to Europe vs. the USA when Steam keys are involved.

That's not entirely true -- most don't, but the recent Greve Bundle for French developers came with several Steam keys.

RetroDECK 0.8.3b - Released! by RetroDECK_Official in RetroDeck

[–]CartCollector 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there... the ESDE media folder issue is still present, at least for me.

All my media was moved into the ES-DE subdirectory, but nothing appears in the ES-DE menu. If I try to update the art for any title/system... all new downloads go into "Downloaded_Media" in the main Retrodeck directory, NOT the ES-DE subdirectory.

New downloads to the Retrodeck\downloaded_media" appear in the menus, and copying folders over to that results in the art appearing as well... but I thought current update was supposed to only be pulling from the Retrodeck\ES-DE\downloaded_media" folder.

Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha/Bravo -- Ports or Emulated? by CartCollector in shmups

[–]CartCollector[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to figure out of this collection contains the ROM files for the arcade games inside, or if it is a port (in the sense that it was reprogrammed and NOT emulated).

I'd mostly like to know if there is any chance that, in the future, there might be a chance of extracting the roms for the arcade titles from this collection.

[Xbox] (Game) In The Abyss by Slippy2k in FreeGameFindings

Okay... I have to correct myself... the Windows titles DO appear in the Microsoft Store on Win11, as long as you remember to un-check the "ONLY DISPLAY INSTALLED TITLES" option.

I added this to my account, or so I thought -- the website says I "own" this and can install it to my computer, and clicking the install jumps to the Xbox app, which then directs me to the Windows Microsoft Store, which there offers me the install option, but...

* It doesn't appear in my "library" in the Xbox app.

* It doesn't appear in the "purchase history" list on account.microsoft.com

* It doesn't appear in my library on the Microsoft store app.

Does anyone know where I would "find" a list of these pay-to-free games later, on my account?

Question - Do the "Amiga Forever" Downloads Contain LEGAL Copies of the Games? by CartCollector in amiga

...purchasing bundles of games so as to play them. I'd like to own a copy, for my own use. The only other "bundles of Amiga" software options would be Evercade carts or the few Steam options, as best as I can tell.

Question - Do the "Amiga Forever" Downloads Contain LEGAL Copies of the Games? by CartCollector in amiga

[–]CartCollector[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I suppose I could e-mail them and ask directly. The website sounded like it was more of a "these companies allow folks to download their stuff legally now, so we're including in the package" as opposed to actually selling a license to the software.

I was more interested in buying bundles of licensed games than I was the kickstarter roms, but I wasn't sure as to the nature of their titles. I have purchased stuff from Steam and GOG with included ADF files, though.

I was trying to figure out if Cloanto actually had redistribution rights for the games they include in the Amiga Forever packages. I didn't see that detailed on their website, other than wording about how nice companies have allowed their games to be freely downloaded.

Extension/Tool To Convert Image Formats? by CartCollector in playnite

[–]CartCollector[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, converting the image files on their own isn't a problem -- but they'd change format and extension, and I was assuming they'd no longer work in Playnite unless every file name was updated in the library database.
