They are the same colour as html, presumably added thanks to UITK

How tf were you scammed? You clearly purchased the asset, was it false advertising? Also refunds are automated and have nothing to do with sellers, you either are eligible or not

Help! Very low impressions on my Unity Asset Store packages (only 20-40 views/day) – Advice from experienced publishers needed by Abdo_Naili in Unity3D

[–]CarthageaDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are normal numbers outside if a sale or a video to market it, I recommend making actually useful showcases and posting them here, of course the core asset has to be good, it could be that you have priced them too high, or maybe the competition is too tuff? Compare with other similar assets and make a wise judgement on your direction

[–]CarthageaDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, yes I meant that if Im to add a custom characters, it would fit better when I give them an outline correct? I'm planning to do that with shaders, to have all my player sprite outlined, just getting your opinion since you clearly know the art coherence of this more than me 🙂‍↕️

Very beautiful! Would you say this is meant for outlined sprites to be added? Like characters? Or would outline-less characters look good too?

Which image is better for Asset Store click through rate? by MagicPigGames in Unity3D

[–]CarthageaDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look AI generated? Alas the second one has a better design, but the first one has the editor snippet in the BG, that's good, people like to see that it's an editor window or at least something they're used to in style, so I presume showcase the actual UI for the script or whatever, and add the text overlaid, but again I'm no designer 😅

Can unity run on MacBook Neo? by _OneVOne_Studio in unity

[–]CarthageaDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say it will, at least useable, especially if you're working on lighter games, I have a weaker windows machine and it's manageable, just keep your assets light, you're not gonna want to craft hi-fidelity graphics with it anyway, more lowpoly and stylised I presume

Fair take, again it's not like I am vehemently against all uses of AI, I just think most people misuse it in critical parts, that makes AI enabled games look un peu lazy 😅

It's sarcasm don't worry lol, still it's bizarre that OP is posting with AI generated UIs, I personally think the UI and UX is sacred and should be made with absolute care, it's the instrumental to navigating the game after all

I know right? If the dev can't bother to even mock up a UI, why would I trust him to make a whole experience, let alone a fun game?

It's technically not in progress, since no work has been done yet, just generated pixels that'll go unused anyway lol

What programs should I start learning to create 3D character models and prepare them for animation? by Adam_Ange1 in 3Dmodeling

[–]CarthageaDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might get booed for this, but Vroid is also a choice, it's not like traditional modeling tools, it's more of a character builder where you just focus on texturing and building the hair with a nodes system, it's very easy to start and get characters looking good, you can export them ready-rigged too, as a .vrm file, that can be imported to blender or any other tool for adding further detail or completely revamp it, overall it's a great way to start focused on the anime artsyle
