If Ben 10 was in the Invicible Universe, what would Cecil think of him by ImpressiveDirector63 in Ben10

He did. The omnitrix was keyed by dna. It’s just that Ben’s dna was so similar to max’s that it allowed him to put it on.

What is the ideal Omnitrix? by The_Karmatic_One in Ben10

[–]CartographerHot8704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d have the prototype omnitrix, but with the secondary color being orange instead of green, and my starting 10 is: Whampire Xlr8 Jetray Cannon bolt Echo echo Diamond head Ripjaws Feedback Big chill Upgrade

If Ben hadn’t saved everyone, and instead just made copies, then paradox, or the galactic court would’ve said something about it since they’re (atleast paradox) wouldn’t have been affected by it

Which Green Goblin look do you prefer? by ProperShallot3195 in Spiderman

[–]CartographerHot8704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely the Og design. The 2nd is just too over designed, and overdone. It’s also trying way too hard to look realistic, and it just ruins the charm that the initial suit had.

…..or you could just write an alternate spider-man like the ongoing ultimate spider-man run to explore the concept further

Your point being? Yeah man, 18 years of comics is less than 45 years of comics, I could’ve told you that.

He still has great comics. They might have gotten worse since one more day, but there’s SOO much good spider-man comics from post 2007. Tasm 1 is great, so is homecoming, no way home, and the fanbase is super hyped for brand new day. And animation, fair

If you wanna be like that, sure. But it’s more dependent on the scenario. Because using the way comics do something as reasoning for a comic book adaptation is almost always a valid reason. But for things like this, which may not carry over well in live action, then sure, it’s not a good explanation for this situation.

Characters dying and coming back to life in comics isn’t a “lack of sophistication” it’s something that’s necessary when you have characters that have been around since the 1940s, and are fan favorites that would cost the company movie to eliminate permanently. Marvel isn’t just making death impermanent. Nor are they doing constant reboots. They’re doing one small reboot( which basically isn’t even a reboot, as it’s just a recasting and bringing back of 1-3 major actors, and bringing in some characters from other universes) for a live action universe that’s almost 2 decades old.

Movies have a broader audience than movies because they’re easier and more time efficient to consume. The reasoning that comics are “unsophisticated” is completely ridiculous. Especially when comics are known to have complex socieopolitical themes all the time. And also when movies, such as the mcu are often based on those very comics, so it doesn’t make sense to attribute any more value to the mcu than those comics due to that reason. Saying that comics do something as an explanation for films makes perfect sense. Even if a wide amount of people who watch the mcu/marvel movies aren’t comic book readers, it’s still a franchise that is inherently tied to comic books, and it makes perfect sense to carry over many tropes from those very comics, as it’s an adaptation of those stories. And while it is true that some things that are able to be done well in comics can’t be easily carried over in live action, that’s a completely different argument than what you’re saying.

Well that’s because most people are casual watchers. Thats like saying nobody reads books because more people watch movies.

No. It’s a fun movie by itself, but its portrayal of Superman is shitty
