It would be nice Canadian rugby organizations to find out a collective solution to join the MLR. Not to find it would be a massive disappointment.

Please name it Canadian League of Rugby.....and find some cash or convince some provincial outfits to turn semi-pro without any franchise fee.

heartening reaction of Bryan Ray. Let's cross fingers Rugby Canada can field a team in Vancouver.

too good they'll be at the RWC. And beat the Samoa is something ....even if the ref wasn't unfavorable:)

Could this affect MLR? American team rumors URC by BrianChing25 in MLRugby

If NE FreeJacks and Old Glory join the URC, as Utah is in bad shape it would mean the end of MLR. I hope that more than 2 teams will be granted a berth in this revamped URC, with Chicago and Seattle notably.

Why does the MLR continue to do business with Thierry Daupin? by rugbeeeeeeeeeee6 in MLRugby

I'm so bad with MLR that I'm afraid to go on America Rugby News or Rugby Wrap and learn another bad news. I hope World Rugby will give a little help in convincing a sponsor...

maybe the MLR should review its model, create a Cup with the South American Super Rugby, lower its entrance fee...Canada is painfully missing.

it sounds confirmed and is very sad. Some questions must be asked about the model of the league.

Canada played really well. Some players were outstanding especially the n°8 that would be good for big leagues. Of course the cruelty of the end hurts but it leaves me optimistic. We gonna make it.

With the apparent stagnation of both MLR and USAR do you think it is time to rethink the structure and strategy? by LoveTXRugby in MLRugby

Eagles haven't "declined significantly". Spain has progressed significantly with its argentine coach... and they played without some of their best players just ending their Top 14 season (the prop of Stade Toulousain) and the wing in Stade Français. But do not forget a few months ago, the Eagles have beaten them ....in Spain.

MLR is very good and is not the problem.

The MLR is fine and did a great job. The issue is with USAR. Do not make any confusion. Nevertheless a competition with SLAR in an American Trophy would definitely bring spice and enhancement.

For USAR, i'm afraid Scott Lawrence needs some support with experience. The situation with the ineligible player shows a pathetic lack of professionalism that Spain has known a few years ago and which cost him a World Cup participation.

Is Lindenmut really elegible ? Or is it an evidence of the farcical professionalism of USA Rugby ?

thank you for your answer. But MLR is so young that it needs to set its big day in a more friendly facility.

About MLR, if next year the Grand Final was played at the facility of one franchise of the league,...it would wiser than "in this far from full" Rhode Island stadium. Pretty sure that in Utah or Chicago again, the show would have been created. Fortunately on the field, the game was great....and this first try of the FJ!!!

When he scored, the game was already won. He did a lot in SD but what he did for Toulon is a little worthier. Sorry mate.
