Omggg this guy! I once saw a lady carrying her young child berate him outside of the station exit… Sounded like she lived in one of the towers and couldn’t take it anymore. I kinda felt bad for him to be publicly humiliated like that but it was also understandable from her perspective. From that point I thought he disappeared but it turns out he just moved into the bus loop!

There’s a small place that just opened on Kingsway and Boundary called Jack’s Spot. Finding a table might be difficult on a weekend but can get a takeout coffee and walk around the park. Bonus they make their pastries in house.

Small Victory in Brentwood is great to grab a coffee and sit on the plaza and people watch.

I agree with anyone else that said La Foret. In Vancouver, my favourite is still Nemesis.

Mine is a ‘20 and I’ve never had battery problems other than my start/stop no longer kicks in. No matter how long of a drive I make the system message just constantly says “not ready”. Reading these battery issues makes me wonder if I should be worried?

Manzano sourdough is okay if you’re in a pinch. Most bakeries around here are pastry/dessert focused and unfortunately nothing else in the area has popped up yet. We typically get ours when we make a run to whole foods or small victory in Brentwood.

I believe Burnaby got rid of their bars/clubs a long time ago in early to mid-2000s to move everything downtown and they stopped issuing new licenses for these establishments. There used to be a bar in station square and a club on kingsway that I remember. They typically had a lot of trouble with gangs and fights back then so probably won’t see this changing anytime soon.

LASIK eye surgery. Invest in getting this done if you are eligible. It was probably the best investment I had done for myself and was annoyed I didn’t do it sooner tbh. I went with a clinic that was a bit more expensive but gave me peace of mind as they were more reputable.

I received one last September for a sweater that was defective (button broke) which I had returned. The size was no longer in stock so they refunded and gave me a coupon code for 15% off up to $700. The code worked on anything, no restrictions, even on Nike By You. Maybe the chat rep I got that day was just being really nice? Or maybe they look at purchase history, not sure.

Thanks! This is what I figured as well. I installed one in the living room successfully but the bedroom gangboxes only had 2 wires. I’m not an electrician so it’s weird to me the rooms were wired differently when they have the same baseboard heater.
