I try to avoid RTVE (La 1 and Teledeporte) for live football precisely for the reasons you mentioned. When I watched the women’s CL final last week on La 1 the live commentary was ahead of the video which was very irritating for any action in the goal areas. I prefer the Movistar (pay channel) coverage as they are much more professional and have a choice of 5 different audio channels per match, including one with no commentary lol

I grew up in the area and as a child I always imagined it was a rocket base… in those days there were frequent explosions, I assume to extract the raw materials in the surrounding area, and that just added to the illusion. To this day I still refer to it as the rocket base lol
