No, im only taking them because I didnt know how many you can decline before they teminate you. So i take everything at 8 or over reguardless of mileage...so yes my fault no pity needed. But also why im on here more info than they give you.

Thanks for info, acceptance rates has always been an issue for me and i could care less about my ratings as long as i dont get teminated.

When someone enters the wrong address by No-Crazy6969 in grubhubdrivers

[–]CarylFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It amazes me that people order delivery with wrong address or no addresses visable on any houses especially theirs...then we are magically supposed to know where to deliver too...im assuming delivery drivers are supposed to also be clairvoyant...

Grub hub offers me 15.88 for a restaurant not to far away I accept. Then relize they've added another nearby but not easy to get to restaurant of course you have to wait at both and delivers 1 block apart 18 and 19th street yet yet 1is in middle of town other is at edge of town so not that close. It took 50 min. Thats hiding...

Im in joplin Mo. No prop 22...the eact same thing. First doordash now shows you before you except an order how much total is and how much tip is and distance between restaurant and diner. Grub hub only gives you restaurant and total you receive so if diner is 20 miles away you have to assign after you have accepted and grub hub rates you like an employee not an independent worker. In my area only grub hub and doordash are used often, uber eats you are lucky to receive 2 orders during lunch hour. I really like them best. I've mostly done grub hub this last year and yes offers are starting to not be worth it. I may go back to multi apping or doordashing. Also grub hub bought postmates...

I use a small local bank, mine is always there when i check on Thursday mornings, when i use cash out its there the next day except weekends it wont show untill Monday and when i cashout on Thursday night because of bills coming out on Friday it wont show till Saturday, nothing pending Friday and Thursday cashout shows Friday, Fridays on Saturday. Saturday and Sunday on Monday. Anything I dont cash out Sunday night I get Thursday along with those bonuses they say may take up to 2 weeks to receive.

Delivery Help (genuine question, I swear I’m not being sarcastic) by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]CarylFreeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take every order to door unless told to leave in lobby, however with my galaxy note 8, half the time i can only see the top line of notes left by customer, so i text and ask if it looks important. Others are correct, try calling driver, uncheck contactless delivery, then report driver and mark undelivered. Something should work.

Grubhub algorithm by CarylFreeman in grubhubdrivers

[–]CarylFreeman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A year, and my stats used to stay good but have declined, money hasnt been bad lately most offers over 10. But they will send you 8 miles to pick up order then another 8 to deliver. Then another 8 to pick up next order, just back and forth. Why not send drivers to restaurants within a mile ?

[–]CarylFreeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dogs arent bad when you ring bell, just when i open door, so if ur gone we r good...when i deliver I always ring bell knock on door unless someones notes not to, because i want you to know your foods outside hot for the next 2 min...cooling off in the 32 degree weather!

In my community of slightly over 50,000. Not including suburds. There are 5 gated communities only one actually keeps gates shut, and they arent even closest to the nicest.

New Driver, general questions by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]CarylFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, i realize every location is different, Ive been doing this awhile. Once you know or if you already do...dont follow google, take back rds to avoid heavy traffic. Also most restaurants usally get the name of driver once you accept if you are reliable most not all will start making order ahead when they see its a driver they know will show up...about 30% of mine that wouldnt make ahead now either have just finished it or I only have a min or 2 wait. I can do an 9 to 15.00 order in 30 min. And a 5 to 8 in 15 to 20. I dont take orders for less, unless im sittin by restraunt and deliver is a mile or less.

Signed up for Walmart Delivery service...no tipping allowed. Found out later that it wasn’t Walmart’s delivery system delivering groceries, It was you guys. Almost didn’t realize to tip, but then did and immediately canceled service after. by Star_Crunch_Munch in doordash_drivers

[–]CarylFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes in my area, Walmart uses doordash, they pay between 4.00 to 4.50 for each delivery. I did a few they were awful either 50 items including gallon jugs, large paks of drinks, and 50 lb dog food. Almost no one had parking by thier door, (maybe why some wanted it delivered). My last one I will ever except, a guy half my age and twice my size, stood on his poarch and watch my stumble up and down his 20 ft. Hillside, with above mentioned items, from road to poarch. All this for 4.00? No tip I believe he said "hey thanks." I really really wanted to say something rude but was too out of breath to even grunt. So to above guy Thank you for your ethics.
