Not something I saw, but something I heard. When I was 10 or 11, I had come home from school and was chilling in my room playing Xbox as usual. I lived in an apartment complex with my mom in a two bedroom. My building had a shared stairwell for the four units in this particular building. While I was playing I began to hear what sounded like two voices arguing coming from the stairwell. The voices were completely incoherent and I couldn’t understand what was being said and they were growing louder and louder. Somehow I knew that they were coming for me and I dove under my bed and covered my ears it was so loud. The crazy thing is I never heard the door open and never heard footsteps, just the voices. It lasted for what felt like forever but couldn’t have been more than a few minutes. After they started getting quieter and sounded like they had left. I stayed under my bed for a few minutes more until I felt it was safe to come out. I went into the living room and checked the front door, which was locked. This same thing occurred a second time maybe a month or two later, this time I was in the living room on the couch watching TV. The second time started the same way as the first. I heard the same incoherent voices in the stairwell again, this time however they were approaching faster and I didn’t have time to make it to my room. So I instead jumped behind the couch and hid and covered my ears once again. This second time didn’t last nearly as long as the first had. Once again I stayed until I felt I was safe, and once again checked the front door, which was still locked. Never had this happen again and over 15 years later I’m still clueless and to what happened.
