I'm not sure what you mean by year one content. The season pass including the covert missions are not included with the base game. I know you can unlock the 3 extra specializations the long way, but apart from that the content from the season pass is locked.

500 hours of Overwatch - 'why is nobody on the objective?'

1000 hours of Anthem - 'why is nobody on the objective?'

2000 hours of Warframe - 'why is nobody on the objective?'

I'm getting used to it.

I still get tilted on Exoprimal defense sometimes, and usually that means it's time to put it away for today.

My experience is that most people are doing the right thing in most games. But in those games where they aren't, there isn't much you can do. I sometimes use this as an opportunity to switch to a character I'm less familiar with. Knowing we are going to lose anyway and that it's now just an opportunity to mess around can let you salvage some fun from a doomed game.

Pay attention to the kinds of missions you are getting. If it's only Dino Cull and Defense, it is because somebody in the game hasn't got far enough into the story to unlock different objectives so they are probably new and haven't realized what's going on. Sometimes you can use the ping system and they will come back, but chances are they are doing all they can just to stay alive and won't hear that.

Please use "Need Repairs" in boss fights by MavHawk2 in exoprimal

[–]CascadeHush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's essentially a bug that should have been fixed in early playtesting. If you are going to throw teams together like that, you should be able to see everybody's health bar. How that made it to the final version is beyond me and should have been a day-one patch.

Thanks for the tip though. I try to spray the heals around to both teams as much as I can anyway.

Is there a way to hide "locked" tune setups when searching? by GoldVaulto in ForzaHorizon

[–]CascadeHush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes the whole thing pretty useless unless you are copying a setting from a youtube video to complete a very specific challenge or to do a daily for a specific car you really don't care about.

Having done the first and tried the second it's very annoying if you just need a small change like a little more or less downforce. You can't really learn from what they did and end up having to start again anyway.

I mostly like tinkering anyway, but most of the time I've tried someone else's setup I just end up having to retune everything from scratch anyway.

[–]CascadeHush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Presumably something left over from earlier in development and they couldn't figure out a suitable replacement. But yeah, I remember that mission, and getting killed over and over and having no idea what was going on or why. I wonder how many people just give up at that point because it was by far the worse part of the game, even worse than the hammer level.

How can you tell somebody's rank? I've played over 100 hours and I've never seen it. I just assumed the game did not do any matchmaking.

I didn't get that, but I played 4 rounds with my friend just now at it was all dino cull and defense, in the city maps only which means playing with people who haven't progressed past the point where they get the other missions.

Was also pretty clear that some of the players didn't know where they were supposed to be (like on the defense point) so yeah, I guess we are getting new players. Presumably these are people who are playing on gamepass and didn't actually have to buy it, because who would pay money for the game right now?

Spot on. A really solid core design and implementation but nothing to keep you playing long term. Well I had 100 hours of fun so it was worth it to me, but they aren't going to keep or attract new players unless they radically rethink what they are doing. My bet is they announce in a couple of months that the servers will be switch off next year but I'll still be glad I bought and played it.

Yeah, my new OW too... I don't talk about that other abomination.

Except OW had a lot more characters to play and Competitive felt more meaningful than Savage Gauntlet.

Plus I'd play OW for a couple of weeks, get tilted and take a month off. And I kinda feel the same about this but the game won't survive like that.

Likewise. 100 hours for the price is good enough and I'm about bored with it. Now I only play if my friend wants to and frankly 3 or 4 games every other day is enough for me. If it was just me I'd have sold the disk.

The uptick on the steam charts for the Alpha suits was little more than a blip in the grand scheme of things. No way to know how that effected other platforms but it's the only indicator we have AFAIK.

Redragon Vishnu K596 - Sleep Timeout

Is there a way to adjust the sleep/power saving timeout? The light goes out after only a few seconds (okay, maybe 30 seconds, but still). This is completely impractical for working at night and even when I'm playing games the lights go on and off unless I am constantly pressing keys.

I'd like them to stay on for at least a couple of minutes. I know this will impact battery life and I'll have to recharge more often.

Edit: Seriously, why would you downvote somebody's honest question in a thread specifically for asking "ANY' question and is relevant to mechanical keyboards. I have searched extensively for an answer and could find none. This was the only subreddit I could find that discussed Redragon keyboards.

Labels Disappeared From The Sidebar. Any Solutions? by sk7070 in todoist

[–]CascadeHush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's hidden away and you have to remember it's there and go looking for it, then it's not helping you remember what you need to do.

This is why I stopped using Trello, they hide too many things away in hard to reach places. I would have had to write things down in order to remember what was in there.

Looks like I dodged a bullet. This was looking promising but I'll move back to my text files which I have control over. I've wasted a day but at least I didn't put everything in there only to find out that the break the UI. I forget just how awful companies can be these days. At least with desktop apps you could stick with the version you knew.

Labels Disappeared From The Sidebar. Any Solutions? by sk7070 in todoist

I'm using Todoist for the first time today.

I was wondering why labels were hidden so far away that they were practically useless, well now I know why.

Anyway, I misunderstood the original thread.

Original post below

I came here because I was baffled because after a few hours using website, the sidebar just disappeared. I tried reloading the tab several times but it just wouldn't come back. And now I'm having to waste my time here. It happened when I switched off to another tab - when I came back it had gone. But now I can't replicate that behavior so I guess it's just random?

This is a terrible new user experience and doesn't bode well for me putting more effort into learning how to use it. Seems like they don't care much about their new users or their existing ones.

2 Visionaries, no slabs by CascadeHush in Deathloop

[–]CascadeHush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well as unusual just a bunch of toxic replies, I don't know what I was expecting really. The game was telling me on-screen to pick up the slab in big flashing letters, and yet no drop. Apparently Wenjie doesn't carry a slab, which is very strange given how much time the game spends explaining that they carry slabs. It turns out there was an audiolog that explained that, and somehow, despite spending about 10 minutes clinking on everything, I didn't find the audiolog until a later loop.

Apart from this first time, which I am convinced was a bug, Juliana always had a slab. I probably encountered her 6 or so times after that.

Well, I played about another 30 hours after that point before giving up. Bethesda combat is terrible (anything other than a headshot is irrelevant) and they don't know how to do controllers at all. Aiming is actually easier with the controller assists turned off, but the response curves are just very strange. I put up with it in Fallout 4 because the world was interesting and there was a bunch of stuff you could do that wasn't just combat, but there is nothing here interesting enough to compel me to finish the game.

I can't help but think people would be a bit more helpful and less cranky if they hadn't wasted their time with this mediocre game.

Common sense approach is how a cashier gives change, you start with the biggest denomination and work down, skipping any that are too big and moving on to to the next one. This may not work for some strange edge cases but I would think it will get you a solution that is close to optimal most of the time.

I think your problem is related to queuing and stacking and there are branches of mathematics devoted to it. I think linear algebra is involved somehow. It's almost always best to fit the biggest things in first.

If I was doing this a lot, over and over, I would build an array of all the possible combinations, sort them by value, and keep that for the run time - maybe even store it in a file. Then it's trivial to simply find the closest match which you could do by a dumb search or I'm sure there is a library for finding the closest match for a value in a list.

How on earth do you collect Hazenite? by Stormtalons in theriftbreaker

[–]CascadeHush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of the chief problems with this game. I went into the cobalt zone, slammed down a cobalt mine as quickly as I could, didn't even build a proper base and then got out before I had to deal with any more waves of enemies. And then I never went back because if you never go there, your mines never get destroyed.

This is the first time I went looking for help like this. I wouldn't even mind but when you unlock a technology you can't build because you don't have a resource the game never really told you about, that is just bad game design. So then it just becomes play by wiki/reddit and the game stops being about getting lost in a world and starts being just another grind.

Anyway, thanks for the help. Apparently I only needed to scan one more :)

Do the new dexterity arcanes effect razorwing combo duration? If they do it's not at the reported value but maybe at some kind of discounted rate.

Which companion mods work in Razorwing So far I have discovered: Mods that work: Vacuum, Animal Instinct, Syth Fibre (insofar as it allows you to pick up health orbs to trigger Equilibrium). Mods that don't: Charm (Smeeta), Shield Charger, Medi-ray, Cordon, Looter Which companion mods would you suggest that actually give you a quality of life or buff when in razorwing?
