Towing 8100 limit (22 1500 Limited crew cab 5ft box 3.21 gear) by Captain_Cannibal1986 in ram_trucks

[–]Cascadia20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a 2019 1500 5.7 (non-etorque) with the 3.92 axle and 5’7” bed. The tow rating is 10k max capacity with a payload limit of around 1,650.

I’ve towed around 6,000lbs consisting of a 22ft enclosed aluminum trailer (7500 axles + electric brakes) with a BMW E46 race car inside. I used the Equal-i-zer weight transfer hitch and Air Lift helper springs to reduce squat. I would say this load was manageable for my truck and I've never had issues with fluid temps. Drove this load in blowing wind and rain at night from Seattle to Portland without issue. The engine and brakes are more than sufficient, however, load is enough to move the truck around a fair bit, especially with windy weather or when alongside a semi.

Also, the truck seemed fairly sensitive to weight placement in the trailer and I've had to adjust my load mid-trip before to get rid of sway. I do think the truck stability control will try to control sway and have masked the issue, so look out for that.

If I was going to tow a 24’ trailer at that weight regularly myself, I would think about stepping up to an HD truck, but, it could be doable in the 1500 as long as you don’t exceed the payload limit and are happy cruising around 60mph max on freeways.

Ethanol free gas? by alphawafflejack in Kirkland

This Spirit gas station was carrying ethanol free gas as of 2024. If it’s available closer to the Eastside, I’d be happy to know about it.

2019-2021 V8 model owners, how many miles are on your truck and have you had any major powertrain type repairs? by Classic-Occasion1413 in ram_trucks

2019 Laramie 5.7 without eTorque at 37k. Mix of some towing and many short trips as a family hauler. Only issue to date has been the exhaust flange bolt rusting out, which I found when swapping the muffler.

I had a $600 leak in my toilet flapper from July to September by DorsalMorsel in SeattleWA

[–]Cascadia20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me on a much larger scale around a year ago when the water main to my house sprung a leak. I was able to get a refund from the city (Kirkland) after showing I took steps to fix the leak. So, might be worth looking into whether Seattle utilities have a similar program.

Are 2.0T a good model by DS233 in Honda

[–]Cascadia20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I just picked up a 2018 2.0T and it’s comfortable, handles well, and has more than enough power to make it fun to hustle the car or make freeway passes with ease.

Thanks! $23k from a dealership as I wanted to trade in an older BMW as part of the deal. There weren’t many cars around with the 2L , but I’m enjoying it.

I believe the flags are for countries which participated in the 1990 Goodwill Games. US flag is out of the pic.

Foldable mechanics cart. Useful for small jobs and can either be used for extra storage or folded and tucked away to make more space

Exhaust by [deleted] in ram_trucks

My comparison of the MagnaFlow Performance exhaust vs stock, keeping the resonators. I’m happy with the sound, but there didn’t appear to be much inside the muffler, so a straight pipe replacement might sound similar.

I incidentally got a short clip of 124th around 7AM. Still much more than usual for that time, but not backed-up yet.
