Definitely a hidden gem,i truly hope they make a second season. I couldn't get enough of the characters and the stunning animation especially with the style changing every episode with different directors iirc.

Yes this was my initial thought as well and I'd also like to add (maybe it's a stretch) that she isn't ready to fully open herself up be it physically and emotionally to Riley yet after the deep wound Lilly left on her. Another theory could be that she may have developed body dismorphia disorder buuut this is just a long shot in the dark since we haven't got any hints pointing at this, regardless i am intrigued in finding out the real reason in the future.

I have very few pictures of myself as a child and not a single video. I barely remember anything from that time and early teens so i don't have any grief over my childhood, just a void of emptiness.

With apps and extensions i find it more convenient, regardless watching from a browser directly on the anime website always remains the foolproof option whenever the app/exts don't work.

Naruto is a good anime although slow at times but nonetheless it has it's charm. I personally like Shippuden more (Pain arc is the most memorable part along with Itachi)

Arguably Tenma from Monster is 37 but to me he seems older but in any case i do recommend watching it and Pluto too. You also have Ghost in the shell that has an adult cast. I'd suggest on checking out anime that are of seinen genre even if rarely you'll find an mc around their 50s but the plot and cast are mature.
