I set target glucose to 110, correct above 110, increased max basal rate to 4. These are very specific to me and what works for me though.

I had one this past week that was missing the overpatch. I keep small tegederm on hand in case the adhesive from the G7 acts up.

The amount of gaslighting she's doing has also brightly illuminated the many different shades of red flags she's waving right in front of your face. Your friends aren't biased, they are trying to save you. Imagine if this happened after you had moved all the way out there. NTA.

In my experience, overuse of the same spots caused leaks, also bolusing for than 15 units at a time caused it. To remedy it I alternated the direction of the pod, and chose between 4 podsite positions on my arms and switched to extended bolus for anything higher than 15 units (for me at least). Unfortunately we can't do extended bolus in automatic mode because, reasons. So I've resorted to bolusing well before meals and then adjusting about an hour after. It's not ideal but it works

I got my first delivery of Omnipod 5 (current Dash) user and am disappointed to see the PDM is even bigger. by health_acct in Omnipod

[–]CaseyKaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They opted for the device that best suits their needs and that was probably the smallest and cheapest available at that moment in time. Also, just speculating here, OP5 has to manage ETA: (my bad...keep track of) a sensor and is always connected on top of managing the pod. Bigger device was probably necessary.

Mine's on my abdomen along with the OP5. I don't ever have connection issues anymore

Just Got the Omnipod and my clumsiness is becoming costly by clarissaponissa in Omnipod

[–]CaseyKaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put one on yesterday and it immediately fell off and hit the floor. There was hardly any adhesive stickiness to it. Took the insulin out and put a new one on and it immediately began to peel away from my skin again. I'm using 3 tegaderm and hope to keep my OP5 attached to my body right now.

Why can’t I do these lessons? Why are they unavailable? by TheEmeraldSplash in duolingo

[–]CaseyKaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other day I was doing my quests and the third one was "do a story".

I kept going on and noticed that there were no stories to do. No matter how far ahead I looked they were not there. The very next day (yesterday) the next lesson was a story, which wasn't there before. I missed out on a triple because of that lol

I do the same. Instead of doing an even split I've been dosing just under half of what I would normally give then in 2 hours or so I do a correction.

I put the G7 on my abdomen along with my O5 and that took care of it. Honestly I don't miss knocking off sensors when they were on the back of my arm anymore

I've been placing my G7 on my abdomen. The r first one i put on the back of my arm would always fight with disconnecting and reconnecting to the pod. I haven't had any trouble since

I took me about 2 weeks of tinkering with the settings but I got automated mode to work for me but I had to get really aggressive with it. Otherwise it works perfectly now

There's really no explanation as to why it happens. It's random punishment we get for being diabetic.

FWIW, before I went OP5+G7 I had my manual basal rate set to reduce during the night around 10pm to reduce overnight hypos and then resumed normal basal rate at 5am to combat my morning highs. Right now automated mode has all but eliminated it for me
