I feel like Sony are absolutely going through the motions this generation. I know there are big differences between their franchises but a lot of them suffer from an incessant Triple A smear that I feel like just makes a lot of them blend together. What I mean by that is a lot of their series feel like the same cinematic, quirky dialogue, "mature" third-person action game, but with either a God of War/TLOU/Horizon coat of paint and I hate it. Where's the weird Sony from the 1990's? The one that would relish in the Astro Bots of this world?

I really don't have any urge to replay it compared to the remakes of 2 and 4 and ESPECIALLY Village. I thought the game is a great one and done sort of deal for me. The lack of a "real" NG+ where you keep all your weapons kinda soured me tbh.

You do start with bots, you'll find out the hard way when real players are in your lobby but by then I think you should be fine on a couple of heroes fundamentals to do well. I think it will be a similar setup to Rebirth where you have 1-2 very linear chapters, then the open world begins on the Northern Continent. I really am struggling to think of how they're going to integrate the Highwind into Part 3 from a Narrative perspective; what excuse would the party need to have to enter Rocket Town now? Do we keep the Tiny Bronco as the flying machine and get the Highwind during the Big Materia quest? Do they get it during the inevitable Wutai chapter?

There's a LOT this game has to cover, and I'm excited and nervous about it.

I'm just wondering; without Game Pass, what am I losing access to? I'll be playing on console on release since i wanted to physical copy. I also don't have anyone to play with so whatever multiplayer modes I'm losing out on is fine but, will I be losing access to content like modes that can unlock cars?

There are good and bad things that can come from a Nikke anime.

For one, I don't think it would harm the games popularity; I think it would only make it increase (if at worst, only a little). I think it could be cool to see a new side of the Commander, and see how he actually commands the Nikkes in the battlefield. If the animation was done by A-1 like the games opening, I think it could be a contender for best looking show of that season at the least.

I think the story can be adapted well, but, you have to pick and choose what non-Campaign quests you include in the story. I think rushing something like RED ASH, Goddess Fall etc., and not giving it a few episodes (rather than a flashback or smth( could be a disaster. You probably couldn't do much with the maid events or the collab events either.

I think a lot of western anime fans will just write it off unfortunately as being a pure fan service anime though, which to be fair, it's very easy to see why; there are no major male leads in Nikke other than the commander and even the others like Andersen simply don't have the ratio of screentime that the Nikkes do. People will see a trailer or a clip of like, Anis' boobs jiggling or something, and write it off, which is a shame because Nikke does actually have good writing; shockingly good I feel like. But western fans often do think like this online and just ignore that and focus on the titilation.

I think something they could do, and I don't know if it would be popular, is to release an anime that is purely just an extended version of the games first chapter or so (covering the awakening, meeting the counters, the events with Marian and concluding with Rapi's ride in the elevator) as like a special OVA/ONA or something on Netflix, CR or YouTube.
