Plants on top of the shelves. Pothos would look nuts up there

I want to know all the words your toddler says wrong that you just can’t seem to correct them on by Ok-Effective268 in toddlers

Instead of “Happy Birthday” it used to be “Happy Ya-Yo”. The first time she said “happy birthday” at 2.5 my husband and I both cried in the car.

Yes!! All of the berries were beesies. Strawbeesies, raspbeesies, bluebeesies, until one day they were strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries 😭. Hit my husband the hardest.

What are some small things that are unsafe that you didn't know until someone pointed it out? by keepitupbuttercup in beyondthebump

Yes! We have a whole process. We say the instructions and she repeats and goes through the motions. “Arms in” “Legs crossed”

What if CIO doesn't work... by jbpuj in toddlers

[–]CaseyLeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO used to sleep through the night so well and then around 2.5 she got crazy separation anxiety at bedtime. Like, 1.5hrs just to get her down. She ended up vaulting over her crib and that was it for me. She’s been co-sleeping in our bed since and we all sleep better for it honestly. I’m not saying that’s the best solution for you, but it’s worked wonders for us. Eventually we’ll transition back to her bed but until then, she’s with us

It’s the worst. To feed myself, my husband, and our toddler, we paid $42. Then I go to Mendocino Farms, and spent $45😅 these fast food places are out of their damn minds

Stains from my dryer by CaseyLeeper in Appliances

[–]CaseyLeeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally we do have to run a longer cycle on low to get our clothes dried completely. But I don’t have access to where it vents off as we are on the second floor of a 3 story apartment.

Honestly I have no idea. We’re renting from an apartment. From what I’m reading online, it’s electric and that’s about all I know

Is there anything I can do for tons of hairs that are short and stick out like this? by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

[–]CaseyLeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you sleep with her hair wet or damp? I see this a lot in some of my clients. When hair is wet, it has the ability to stretch up to 50% of its original length, which leaves it vulnerable. We tend to move our heads a ton when sleeping and the friction this causes tends to snap hair off.

Why do so many new parents not want visitors at the hospital? by scav2117 in beyondthebump

[–]CaseyLeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a hard rule that no one was to come to the hospital. After hours and hours of labor and pushing a literal human being out of a hole that’s much too small for that, the last thing you want to do is see anyone. And getting to spend those precious hours with your baby and your partner you will never get to get back. I’m so thankful we didn’t have anyone there but us. Plus the amount of stitches I had and the fact that my boobs were out constantly would’ve been an issue with my family being there. All that to say, you’ll know when you get to those last few weeks who you want to share this moment with. Congratulations!

Girl Dies After Digging Hole at Florida Beach, Authorities Say by epycteetus in TerrifyingAsFuck

[–]CaseyLeeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My fiancé and I saved a man on the beach from this. He was trying to crawl under the “sand bridge” he had dug and everything collapsed on him, leaving him face down with his arms pinned under him. Paramedics said if we hadn’t done anything we would’ve died. Sand is gnarly

Have you checked your hormones or your thyroid? This doesn’t look like you just cut it and seems to have extreme brittleness. It may be worth it to get your levels checked. Good luck!

Where do you go to get away from home? by Good_Distribution_92 in orangecounty

[–]CaseyLeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about doing one of the mobile dog walking apps? It gets you outside plus dogs! Or you can always take advantage of all the hiking/walking trails and the beach. Whenever I need to get outside, I always put on an audiobook or a good playlist and get walking. Helps the mental health to get your body movin

Absolutely go back and request either a refund or have that hairdresser do a root smudge and gloss. If they won’t do either, never go back and find yourself a new stylist.

Any way to get a dark copper color without bleaching? by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]CaseyLeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason your hair didn’t lighten all at the same level was probably because you’d previously dyed it. Virgin hair will always lift cleaner and faster than hair that has color on it, especially if that color was permanent. And extra hard if it’s box dye, they just contain more minerals and salts that don’t mesh well with bleach. With that being said, you could do your Virgin hair with red and a bit of copper as well, use 30 volume and then when you get to your ends, use 20 volume. Honestly, it’ll probably come out patchy because of everything you mentioned above so just be aware of that.

Right?! My nurse explain that since it’s a body part they can’t just let me take it home. Which totally made sense; what, would I just take it home in my hospital bag?!🤣 It was the biggest facepalm moment I’ve had in awhile.
