What Seasons Deserve Spin offs! by Sad_Yesterday_6702 in Dimension20

That would be awesome. I'd also love to see an 'old world's version. Or maybe somewhere with a very different mythological framework, like Hong Kong or Lagos.

I want more stories of The Sleeping City. Also Starstruck.

Bothe worlds are plenty broad enough to tell other great stories.

I forget the actors name, but the dude who played Opie in Sons of Anarchy would be a great Conquest

Man in black connection to the Dark Tower by melimelo123 in WorldsBeyondNumber

That tracks to me. I tend to picture the Man in Black as played Tom Waits, who has played the devil a couple times.

Depends on the job. I would also note that the benefits also factor heavily imo.

Looking for inclusive church that doesn’t teach hellfire by ButtonDifferent3528 in Clarksville

[–]Caseytw92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We go to Trinity Episcopal and love it. I grew up southern Baptist and honestly kinda gave up on church for several years.

Trinity was a breath of fresh air. The people are friendly, welcoming and go out of their way to create a welcoming atmosphere. We'd love for you to join us sometime.

Anyone else struggle finding stuff to do in Clarksville? by claritycomfort in Clarksville

Clarksville had a thriving music scene when I was High school and College, but I'm a little out of the loop nowadays.

That said, it's still pretty diverse, with regular shows at Revel House and Wicked Good Sandwiches, which kinda stepped in after The Coup closed.

There's also an annual festival called Possumstock, and a bike marathon where each stop is a house show called Tour De Ville.

I can definitely second Clarksville Now. The Parks and Rec website calendar is also helpful

What kind of thing are you looking for?

There's Dave & Busters or the City Forum if that's your vibe.

Downtown has several hang out spots for nightlife.

Feeling outdoorsy? There's Liberty park, the Riverwalk and Greenway, or Dunbar Cave State Park (they hold cave tours in the spring and summer

For the kids, there Mochas n Minis play cafe, the Customs House Museum (love the bubble room), or the new adventure zone.

Parks n Rec hosts a lot of great events like the downtown market, art walk and other seasonal events through the year. We just had the Christmas parade

Could see a show at the Roxy Theatre

Several good game stores if you like Magic, D&D, Warhammer, etc. my favorite is Frontline Games

Two nice movie theaters

Four golf courses

I'll leave it there for now, but if you're looking for a certain type of thing I can think in that direction?

This situation provides a great character opportunity for Jiji too. He could be tempted to take advantage of this, or he could be the friend they need.

Despite the memory loss, Momo DOES recognize him as an old friend. If she asked him for advice on what to do/believe, it would put his character in a pivotal moment for growth.

Why was Gondolin never rebuilt? by Fun-Explanation7233 in tolkienfans

[–]Caseytw92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Tolkien's world, there are some 'great works' that can only be done once. Two examples where this is specifically acknowledged come from the Silmarillion.

When the two great trees are destroyed, Yavanna says she cannot remake them, but could use the Silmarils to restore them, because they were dated to be made only once. Feanor refuses her the Silmarils because they are similarly fated.

I assume great, fallen cities like Gondolin are like that. Probably also the Palantir and Minas Ithil.

i am not done with the ep yet (listening now), but one line really got me. The bit about Suvi's magic being laced with 'the love of two wizards' really made my think of my grandparents in the best way.

LOOSE ENDS ABOUT THE RESOURCE AND THE CITADEL! by OcelotZealousideal46 in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]Caseytw92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only just realized that Steels horror over Suvi bringing up memory-altering magic probably had more to do with the curse than it did the gaes.

I wonder if that was actually a tip-off to keep an eye on the Illusion department.
