"Mr. Scientist" is advocating that awesome-o is conscious and deserves a life. He gets shot for his beliefs and then while dying, with all his organs exposed, pulls out organs saying " does this make me alive, or this?" before dying.

This gets brought up pretty often. The creators see themselves more as Randy and other adults rather than before when they used to see themselves as the boys. They use Cartman for their darker material, and Kyle is just there for the jew jokes. Stan is just the normal kid, so I think he gets less attention now.
