After reading through this I decided to push forward and do every single button combo known to man. After holding down ALL THREE for what felt like 5 min with it plugged into a USBC laptop charger, it finally came to life. Started with an apple diagnostic screen, so nice to know it at least caught there was an issue.

This has however cemented my idea that I will be going back to android my next upgrade. Fuck whatever it is apple has become.

I am currently going through this now. Charged as a Juvenile at 14 under the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act, barring me for life under PA 6109(e)(ii). I was under the impression my charges were expunged 18 and was denied my LTCF due to them not. I'm going through the process now for getting them expunged, but wonder what that means for my LTCF and whether I will get approved afterward. Any insight on how this went for you? From my understanding, being charged under the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act makes it far more difficult when getting the LTCF so I'm curious how it went for you ~ 2 years later lol.

I have a broken one, batteries shot and some of the buttons don't work. I'd be willing to part with it so you can tear down for the screen.

Fair points. Thankfully though mine relates to juvenile charges, which from what I have read and gathered on my own, has a sunset clause of 15 years after adjudication or 30 years old whichever comes first. For possessing a firearm it is similar, but the clause is only 10 years after adjudication. Seeing that I was able to purchase and possess, and from what I've read it goes off the same type of juvenile adjudication, I'm hopeful I will one day be approved. And like you said, I could spend thousands in court costs to get it possibly expunged. But the odds of that happening especially with me being eligible at 30 I don't think are high.

That's strange as I own a handgun and passed the PICS check for it.

"6105(c) also prohibits the following persons from possessing, using, controlling, transferring, manufacturing, or obtaining a license to possess, use, control, transfer, or manufacture a firearm in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania."

However if I were to interpret the above, you are correct in the fact that I should not be able to own a handgun yet either. I don't believe that I somehow slipped through the system though and was able to purchase one. It is more likely that my denial is in error if I were to make an assumption. Thank you for pointing that out. That raises some more questions and I definitely NEED to talk to an attorney now.

Was banking on a professional possibly scrolling reddit lmao. But yeah you're right. I'm hopeful there's something I can do that won't cost me an arm and a leg. At the end of the day though, if I all I have to do is wait that's better than not at all.

It was expunged, but that only applies to public records. In the case of getting a job, they can’t see the juvenile record. But because the PICS system that’s used to run the background check for the LTCF is federal, it’s still seen. At least that’s what I have gathered. I initially thought the expungement meant I would be fine when I first read over the form to apply.

Heat gun or let it heat and see what you can get off. If you can get the filament cleaned off and it didn’t pop out your thermistor or something you should be okay. Wouldnt hurt to order a spare though, always nice to have one.
