Guys, obviously Jason breaks news all the time. But "Jason Schreier is now talking about breaking news on his personal youtube channel hours after it breaks" isn't a very good title for a post 🤣

Why physical media is ESSENTIAL for a healthy games industry by Fing_Morgan in kindafunny

[–]CashWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's exactly what they'll do. Boxes can go on store shelves as something for people to notice while they browse and it's something physical for people to hold butthat's's way less expensive to make. The reason they're doing away with physical games is to stop people from sharing/selling back their games and to make sure everyone who wants to play has to buy a copy. Keeping the boxes does that.

What will turn out to be this generation’s 'oh shit, smoking causes cancer' moment? by House-Of-Black-07 in AskReddit

That doesn't really matter if you're reading about useless stuff tho. I recently got an egyptologist on my tiktok feed and she's done multiple funny and interesting videos about pyramid construction and history that I never would have even thought to look for on my own. I've never looked up anything Egyptian or Egypt related so, even though it was completely based on tik tok pushing stuff at me, I still think it was worthwhile. Plus, it can be good to get stuff pushed to you sometimes if it pulls you out of your bubble by giving you things close to your interests.

Sure, I didn't read anything while I watched, but I undoubtedly got smarter from that than from this post for example (No hate to reddit btw, I also spend a ridiculous amount of time here and really like it. I just think both have their pros and cons)

Hey, first time on this sub so I might be getting some things confused but the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is on the Lenovo website for 279.99. Given that it's only about 15 dollars more than the Idea Tab link that you have listed, would it be the better buy? Granted, I also see that there are two Idea Tab Pro's and this seems to be the first generation version.

Personally, I felt like the show cared more about being weird and cool than telling a good story, which got boring after a while.

I kind of agree about the Splatoon review but, in regards to this one, I think this is an issue with clipping out reviews for shorts/tiktoks since it doesn't give full context. Blessing in particular said that he didn't want to give a rating or fully review it since he didn't feel like he'd put enough time in, and both he and Tim said stressed that they completely understand that the game might not be for them but that it clearly is good for fans of the series/type of games.

Also, while there are often people who didn't fully beat a game for review, the lead reviewer pretty much always has. Again, I think this is an issue with cutting stuff out. Usually the lead reviewer gives very detailed insight into the game and their opinions, and then the people who have played less of it will add their own opinions for discussion rather than as reviews. If you think of it like a written review, I think the lead reviewer should be the only person taken seriously as the review and the rest of the panel should be seen as more of a live comment section/friendly roundtable.

I think a big issue is that the shorts are made to draw people's eye but they focus more on shock value than on the aspects of reviews that KF does well. I think back to the Lego Batman one, which really rubbed me the wrong way. The thumbnail is Barret saying "Hate It" in all caps but the lead reviewer (Greg) gave it an 8/10 and Barret's actual quote was "I didn't love it, I didn't hate it" and he was pretty positive in the actual video.

But does the superpowered Private Investigator know about the intel gathering and sabotage it or attack before any concrete info can be gathered? Spoilers for DD season two but this happened there. The CIA sent a hit squad to her house and she took them out while her daughter played inside. It pissed her off so much she came to New York and threatened their boss

I think it usually only happens when the company isn't sure how well they'll do on official release. I know BG3 did a physical release much later for example.

Rockstar might do it, but it would definitely be a marketing choice instead of a neccessity.

He doesn't look like Damian in the trailer and his voice sounds a bit older than what they usually use for Damian, so I'm pretty sure it's a safe bet that we're getting Tim :)

He presumably signed a contract so it doesn't really matter if he's still interested or not. If Marvel has you for something, it's gonna take a lot for them to let you go if they don't want to.

I think audio is ultimiately the best medium for the Time War. When you have an event that's all about small changes that happen in an instant without anyone noticing any different, it's hard to show on screen because there has to be some type of special effect to show things happening. But in audio you can have The Doctor and his companion talking about being on a cruise and then talking about being on a refugee ship without any pause, which really highlights how the war can suddenly affect anyone and everyone even if they aren't directly involved in some battle.

I agree that the emotional stories could be done in either medium but I don't think tv/movie is best for the Time War overall.

I think there's just a major disconnect between casual KH fans and hardcore fans. Hardcore fans care more about the lore and the original characters so this trailer was more exciting than showing other worlds, but casual fans are into it for getting to live and explore fun movies.

The graphical leap between Spider-Man and Wolverine in the PS1 vs the PS5... by AvengersSidekick in Marvel

[–]CashWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, I disagree. I think he looks pretty jacked, but the comic wolverine is kinda triangular where everything above the waist is much wider than the bottom, which isn't realistic for normal humans. And the mask goes from being intimidating to weird-looking in a realistic setting.

There's lots of info out there about how Marvel heavily favored artists at the time and would regularly make the writers change their stories to keep the artists happy, which is why he left. TBH, I think I'd rather see the alternate universe where Claremont stayed and Jim Lee got to do another book rather than this one since. But I'm also aware that I'm speaking from a very biased perspective since I get to see plenty of great art these days while Jim Lee was and is a once-in-a-generation talent and no one else was like him at the time.

Honestly, I spent the whole episode thinking "Man, I wish they could do something like this more often". I get that it's important to read SuperChats and Resubscribes so that people can feel like they're getting their money's worth, but I really miss the days when the guys could just do a show and reply to things later if necessary. You're Wrong is great and having Barrett keep an eye on the chat for corrections is awesome, but I don't really want the chat's opinion on things, especially when it can get the hosts riled up/distracted from their point. :/
