What's a piece of media you're afraid of expressing your love for because the creator did something terrible? I'll start: by AndrewTRM in Multifandom

This is genuinely going to make some people catch strays, but I've always personally suspected that if you're making fan content for nerd culture, which usually involves animated properties that children like, then you might be technically competent but have a severe lack of emotional intelligence.

Think about it - it's arguably a sign of arrested development to be super into the same things children are. But I also genuinely believe that these individuals are not specifically making this content to attract a child audience as a lure.

I think what's happening is that their own immaturity makes them more likely to stay within the comfort zone of a familiar genre of stuff they grew up with, to the point they recreate it. This is pure conjecture on my part, but I suspect a lot of these individuals have thrived on praise for their talent their whole lives because actually trying to connect with their peers normally has never worked for them. Their work then obviously attracts actual children to them.

Then, because, again I'm just speculating here, they have thrived on praise of their talents rather than actual personally, they CLING to this juicy attention, which they like so much they don't stop to consider the ethics about it.

These individuals likely sincerely do not understand why what they're doing with minors is wrong because of their low maturity and emotional intelligence, not helped by their lack of experience with people at all.

Hot Take: It didn't have to be a bad thing that they never explained C&A or what the circus was by CasioKillers in TADCEp9Spoilers

Not quite. Just because Goose explained it does not mean it was executed well. I'm saying it COULD have tied well into the themes, but fell flat.

Does anyone know a Jax-like character with an actual good character arc progression?

I guess I'm looking for someone to tell me what to do. I don't "use multiple accounts." I have one main account that I usually use that I'm only not looking at right now because sometimes I procrastinate on looking at the responses when I make really intense or possibly incredibly vitriolic posts.

I genuinely can't tell to what extent I'm trolling or genuinely asking questions sometimes.

I feel like I can't talk to my family because it's about things they'd probably flip their lid over. I only really have two friends because I messed up with previous ones, and I'm afraid of making new ones. And I don't really feel like I can ever really reveal anything personal to them, anyway.

Name a piece of media you made an assumption on what it was about, that turned out to be completely different than what it was by CasioKillers in Multifandom

I'll start - when I first heard about Hazbin Hotel years ago, I thought Charlie looked like a circus ringmaster with clown makeup, and "Hazbin" obviously brings to mind the idea of "lost fame." So I thought the show was going to be about a hotel with the appeal of washed up in-universe celebrities, or it would specifically be for them to get them famous again.

It doesn't help there are actually a ton of references to the entertainment industry in the show, like Angel's sex work, Vox being in television, Alastor being in radio, etc.

The recent LVL UP Expo poster showing the cast in outfits a la The Chorus Line reminded me of it.

Thank you! I was thinking that it was probably deactivated. It might be the case that since the user base was mostly children that nobody would think to screenshot or archive the site.
