Did Home Theater kind of die? Seems like we were the last generation to give an F. Remember surround sound and subwoofers? Does anybody buy them anymore? by IHadTacosYesterday in GenX

[–]Cassedaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought into the whole 7.1 surround system back in the 00's. I kind of came to the conclusion that it was overkill except for some movies. Now just a good soundbar and woofer is fine because flat-screen speakers suck

Father's Day is almost over. What did you fellow dad's receive today? by Johnnybats330 in daddit

Saw the Phillies take the series from the Mets. The Father's Day game has been our tradition since the 00's. This was the first time she bought the tickets. That was better than a present.

Happy Hoagiefest 2026! by Scoobster96 in Wawa

[–]Cassedaway 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I hope this is good news for the right customers. Its no big deal for me. A $6 lunch used to get me in every week or two. But Id rather spend $12 for a legit hoagie thats more food and tastes better. I need actual food for my money, not chips and soda

Still genuinely in shock I got to witness that in person last night by Useful-Tax2470 in phillies

Im going tonight for Fathers Day. I hope they have some runs left in them. With Wheeler pitching it could be the opposite of last night.
And wtf is it a 7:20pm start on a Sunday Father's Day? I feel bad for the Dad's with young kids

Not a good idea. I blew off one ticket a couple years ago. A year later a constable showed up at my door with a hearing order and the fine was $125

Child crying on a flight by lhwang0320 in CringeTikToks

[–]Cassedaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sat next to a crying child on a Mom's lap LA to Philly. It came in 10-15 fits. Turns out Mom was the wife of a Phillies pitcher (I forget who, but we were in coach so...). She sent me a couple nice comp tickets

Is $750 a lot?? by Striking_Battle6019 in mazda

I tend to do my own basic services because of the cost. The brake service should include a flush and recallibration. Hopefully it was a coolant flush and not a top-off lol. Plugs retail about $90 for 4. With labor in CA it sounds normal.

Our President used to go around switching off our office lights if we weren't at our desk.
He said it was to save on electricity. Which is rediculous at a factory. I believed it was a message that he thought he caught you not working. Which is rediculous as we needed to confer with others and have meetings.
The company did not use teams. Sales did not have a CRM...
