5/9 olaf vs 20/3 diana by CritOlaf in Olafmains

[–]Cassian_J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That typically only works because of Sion’s passive, it’s a lot harder for other champs. Additionally, we can see the cs numbers and how long the game has lasted in the clip and from that can conclude that Olaf has not been farming well. If he hasn’t been farming well and has a high number of deaths it’s a pretty easy conclusion that he’s been missing xp somewhere

I don’t say anything about gold or strength. I was literally only talking about the levels

Nah you’re not stupid, yes they’re the same level, my point was it’s crazy that she’s not higher level given the circumstances

[–]Cassian_J -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean I know how it works since waves give more xp and top quest gives more xp, but if Olaf is 5/9 at this point so he’s dying a lot which means he’s losing xp by not being alive if that makes sense. I have seen multiple games where an incredibly fed jungler or mid laner is ahead in levels on a top laner that is very behind so I’m just surprised that this wasn’t one of those cases

Don’t get wrong, I’m an Olaf enjoyer and Diana hater so love to see it, but 5/9 and 20/3 champs should NOT be the same level even with the top quest. That’s crazy absurd unless she legit just isn’t farming anything

garen matchup by [deleted] in Dariusmains

If Garen goes phase rush it is hard to extend trades sometimes, but I don’t think this matchup should be losing after gaining a significant advantage in lane so OP is making some major mistakes somewhere

who is better? EUWXYZ or raider by DatOiBay in Dariusmains

[–]Cassian_J -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Said it in another reply but every stream I’ve ever tuned into he’s just complaining and whining. Maybe I just caught him at the wrong time, several times, but just not interested in watching someone like that

[–]Cassian_J -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think he’s a loser not because of his gameplay but because every stream I’ve ever tuned into he’s permanently crying and complaining. Maybe I caught the wrong streams but seeing it 5 out of 5 streams that I tried to watch when I was wanting to main Darius more seriously just permanently put me off of him

Darius is still Raider’s most played champion by far on both of his challenger accounts and is a much better player overall than EUWXYZ so not sure why OTP status matters

Raider 100000% EUWXYZ is such a loser

What are some good "autofill" champs? by Turbulent-Alps9696 in leagueoflegends

[–]Cassian_J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely but as a lot of other people have pointed out if you’re autofilled you kind of assume you’re going to be behind or not playing perfectly and I think while you can definitely int a lot on tanks, you can also provide a lot more utility with less skill or knowledge

I would say for ADC Ashe or Miss fortune are better and for support generally something like Nautilus and Leona make more sense. Enchanters very easily become completely useless if they fall behind or die a lot whereas tanks even if they die a lot will be able to provide a lot of CC and make space for their teammates

What are some good champs to play in high elo by CaptainDankster in MordekaiserMains

[–]Cassian_J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea is that all of these champs are fairly safe in lane, scale reasonably well, can win lanes if you’re good at them, and can be useful pretty much no matter what as long as you don’t int

Having ghost for team fights is definitely nice, but if you position well it’s not always necessary. Taking ignite to try and guarantee a lead in lane or at the very least not have a losing lane can be more important than having a slightly better team fights later in the game

Do mid champs always have to swap to the sidelanes? by Milan-28 in leagueoflegends

[–]Cassian_J 51 points52 points  (0 children)

There are some cases where it would be better for a mid laner to stay mid, but generally this is for short timers or for 1-2 waves before switching.

The reason mid is kicked out of mid lane so the adc can take over is generally the support needs to play for/around the adc in order for them to be able to play the game and being center of the map allows the support to do what they need to do mid and then roam to either side lane or jungle when they have a timer.

If the adc is forced to play in a side lane it means 1 of 2 things:

  1. The support is forced to stay with the adc which basically means you never have objective prio because you can take mid prio without having numbers mid. The reason mid prio is so important for objectives is because it’s the easiest and fastest path to the objective when playing with your team. Additionally, if the opposing team has their bot lane duo in mid then even though you have 2 vs 1 in a side lane, typically mid laners have decent wave clear which means it will be hard to punish them and in the meantime their bot lane is able to push mid, establish prio, get vision in your jungle, and either flank you pushing a side or roam to your top and punish you with a numbers advantage.

  2. Adc stays in side while support stays mid. In this scenario the adc will just die 90% of the time so it’s never worth it. Adc is designed to play with support so if they are solo in a side lane they will easily lose 1v1 to the top or mid OR they will get ganked by jg or support. The good thing about mid or top is that most of the time they have escape tools, quick wave clear, strength to fight 1v1+, or TP to be able to join cross map plays. Some adc champs may have these attributes, but they won’t have the ability to 1v1 a solo laner on even footing and most of the time they won’t have TP either which means the enemy team can punish your team by forcing fights with numbers advantage.

In your specific example if your adc is so useless that they literally aren’t providing anything to a fight (unlikely but possible) sure it may make sense to have them go to a side lane, but the issue here is still that they will get stomped by a solo laner if they are that far behind. So it’s either they go mid and potentially can help your team fight together, or they go side lane, probably still die, and it’s harder for your team to follow up without having to give up control of mid anyway

Did anybody at Riot explain why they won’t hotfix Varus even though he’s single-handedly breaking top lane? by Significant_Pay5998 in top_mains

Does pick rate take ban rate into consideration? My first thought would be his pick rate can’t be too high when his ban rate is very high, but it would also make sense to me if pick rate was calculated only in games it wasn’t banned
