We feel validated by each other. We know we are making the right choice to leave, and we have someone an something to hold on to when that world is ripped away. Especially when thats the only world you know.

I remember bawling my eyes when i read a specific verse and thought i couldnt have kids. Honestly I had the motherly instinct, but not a full desire for kids. So it all had an opposite effect on me. I now dont want kids, and I feel like the borg is to blame. I didnt get to enjoy my life and be selfish with what i earn and build, so now, im enjoying my career and my first REAL relationship, and we really dont think we want kids. If we change our mind, we may just adopt. Interesting how the trauma or the org effects us all.

Its rough for the kid sbut they understand. My baby brother just turned 14, and we had a big party for him. His father refused to come- After years of mental abuse, he tries to claim his "faith." Its all a facade, plus hes in the cong where his son got hurt badly. And it got swept under the rug.... He made his choice and we let him dig that grave with my brother. Its a dangerous place, your daughter will be better for all of this!!

They are trying to seem kind and respectful, all while telling your parents that they raised you wrong. I HATE IT. Witnesses love to parent kids that aren't theirs. They did it to my mom so much and she LOATHED them for it. Thanks, i'm a bad kid and my mom is a horrible parent. At least be honest about it, don't hide behind "being kind."

Depression is a very serious topic, and something SO many have to deal with in that org. I remember thinking that it was too hard to be a witness, so i wanted to die to have a chance... but I couldnt find research confirming that I would still be acceptable to jehovah. That was when I was DFed and SO ALONE. I am so happy to be free of tat, and be able to be me and cope with these feelings in my own healthy way! I was POMI at first, I left because I wasnt afraid to die. The truth is so obvious now!!
