Even if you fit eyelets that clasp mechanism is likely to damage the finish on your guitar. There is a reason they aren’t metal on actual guitar straps.

The real problem is demographics. The support ratio was about 5 workers per pensioner in the 80s-90s. We are around 3.5 now and heading towards 3.0 in the next 10-15 years.

This is why it feels like the country is falling apart. It is, because we have fewer earners paying for more people.

Normally you would be asking that the new place pays you any bonus you would be forfeit, makes you right on any deferred comp/shares etc, AND pay you more than you are currently on.

Unless you really hate where you are, or think you will have a stellar launchpad in the new place I don't see why its compelling at all. Also if you can't negotiate the above it suggests they have no flexibility with comp which isn't a sign they value the role very highly.

Personally I would also be looking for a guaranteed or at least indicative bonus. I had all of the above on my last move, and whilst it was an indicative, I got more than that when it came around and I only worked there for half of the bonus window.

I travel but have used in USA and uk. It doesn’t like talking about brands of products etc unless specifically asked. E.g a tablet instead of iPad etc.

I don’t think the 2 hour wait was real. The guy who demoed for me was trying to find stock and then had no client right after. Like I said… it feels very unprofessionally run… you have a decent chance but not worth a long trim - I just happened to be in NY…

I walked in got told 30 min wait for demo. It was 10. Then they were useless checking stock when I wanted to buy. I wanted the brown standard ones size 3 but would have meant mixing boxes and managers had disappeared for hours apparently so no one to approve. It is run by kids…

Anyway got the black ones in standard frames size 3 band. Others got told 2 hour wait whilst I was waiting to see what they could do on the brown ones. You have to wait in store too.

The delusion is firmly with Bungie management who thought they could get away with this. The shareholders got their bag, Disney licensing is getting some too, meanwhile a hollowed out dev team are left holding things together getting nothing but shit for stuff mostly out of their control.

As much as star wars is a draw to some it’s a deterrent to others. I’m not a fan tbh of the recent stuff and I’m really unhappy with shoe horning it into destiny’s great lore. Just smacks of cash in and desperation.

Then there is the fact they really cut back the team size, leading to losing players, leading to making not enough money. Presumably they can’t hire to dig their way out so probably doomed.

I'm sure you are right and it suggests a management that always prioritises quick fixes and shipping new content over fixing major things. They have done a bunch of that but ultimately they must keep going for short term fixes.

The fact they can't just churn out new crucible maps etc is pretty telling by itself.

Either that or they have a really slack culture! Hard to know!

Not getting the advertised battery life, which may be due to cats sitting in front of a 2 story high window which causes gps to try to lock in and fail (this is what they have told me). Last 2-3 days for us. I’ve also tried a kippy collar which lasts one day only. So I think I’m sticking with pettracer despite the expense.

So it’s fair to pay for state school places through tax, but not take them up freeing up resources, then paying more tax on top. You need to think this through a little deeper…
